Looking for some advice with the Converter module...
I have some videos from a tv series that are in mixed dimensions and I want to convert them all to 1920 x 1080 x 10. They all have a 16:9 aspect ratio but some videos are, for example, 384 x 216 x 10, 640 x360 x 10, etc. I even have some that are 1920x1080x8.
Each of the videos have an approximate half-second of black screen before the video starts.
I've tried using Unifab to get the desired results but it seems like, more often than not, the output file is cropping out that half-second of black screen and replacing it with the title card that shows up at about .75 seconds into the video. The audio for the rest of the file is still in sync, it's just what happens during that first second of video.
I generally don't have this problem when converting them to 1920 x 1080 x 8, but since the rest of the series is (mostly) 1920 x 1080 x 10, I just wanted to have some consistency across the board.
This happens as well with movies. Whatever black space is usually shown before actual video ends up getting replaced with, like, the whatever the first frame of actual video. It's like a still frame until the audio kicks in, then the video starts moving in sync with the audio.
I've tried playing with changing the settings to hopefully get the desired outcome but each time it's the same.
I was wondering if anyone has come up with a "best" solution for converting to 1920 x 1080 x 10 from an 8-bit video, or if it's an issue with the software, or if I'm just doing something wrong. I'm rather new at this and I'm excited about the prospect of having things 1920x1080, regardless if it's 8-bit or 10-bit, but for this particular problem I'm stumped.
I've also tried using Upscaler...not only am I getting the same results, but the file size is considerably bigger than using Converter.
I can post snippets of the first few seconds of video to show what I'm talking about if I'm not making any sense.
