I can't download anything from HULU in 1080p. The resolution doesn't even show up anymore. Is this gonna be fixed anytime soon?

I cleared everything and still getting the same results. I used to get 1920 x 1080p and now it's only 1440 x 1080p. Here's the the link to the show https://www.hulu.com/series/family-m...c-19afca96584f
It seems like every show I try is in 1440 x 1080p resolution and not 1920 x 1080p

Dude Family Matters' first season was in 1989.

It was filmed in 4:3 aspect ratio so when they did the upscaling/remastering to 1080p, that gives you 1440x1080.

Would you rather get 1920x1080 with hardcoded black bars on each side? You would get the same visible 4:3 image but slightly bigger file for encoding the black bars.

Newer things still download in 1920x1080 from Hulu with no issues...

Jack, I've come to the conclusion that it is either all or most of the files that have been recently released on Hulu. I'm still on 6.1.2.4 (modified) and I see the problem as well. Here are MediaInfo examples of two Class of '09 episodes. From 6/14/2023 and then 6/21/2023. The 6/14/2023 episode is fine. The 6/21/2023 is a disaster. Something happened in-between those dates. To me, it seems obvious that the DRM has changed or so I'm guessing. Usually when I write that the DRM has changed, it hasn't. It seems a little early for the DRMs to change. I was expecting mid-July at the earliest.

I've noticed occasionally some videos download as "v_quicktime" and usually is fixed within a few days in a way that makes it seem like it's hulu changing something occasionally. I don't necessarily think it's a DRM change though

Today my Hulu is just endlessly analyzing in the download queue... 6.1.2.8, 6.1.2.4 and even 6.1.1.8

This is for all new stuff but not stuff from 2 weeks ago.

So everything that downloaded and was unusable now doesn't even download

Competitor works fine and no issue was ever brought up so i tend to think it's StreamFab server instead of new DRM.

But it could be DRM because they often fix stuff without telling their users which is extra annoying...
