Low Resolution version of Amazon content

Hi,

I'm trying to download my copy of Shang-Chi from Amazon, which I have in 4k on Amazon.
When I attempt to download it, I'm getting a very low-resolution version of the movie.

It's labeled as 720p, but it's definitely below that.

The DRM/Wildvine changes over the last few days, along with the AWS outage yesterday, has things a mess right now.

Read the latest release notes which indicates that while most is 1080 right now, newer movies are limited to 480p.

Would say Amazon is still not right even with 5.0.0.9 release notes. The download resolution as noted is all over the place with downloads and is lower in some cases. What is considered a new movie or release? Just tried Hanna series, season 1 (which came out 2019) and the first episode downloaded at 1080p, 2nd one at 380p and the 3rd at 380p...stopped the downloads from there. Tried another series and it denoted that it was downloading at 720p but after downloading and checking two of the episodes, it downloaded at 480p. The kicker is playing the ones that were downloaded at 480p, doesn't look like 480p resolution, 480p is junk on my computer monitor, this looked pretty decent. So things with Amazon are still amiss and not fully right with downloads.

Very good question that I wondered about myself. Is it a new release (based on theatrical release date or PVOD date), new to Amazon? or ?? and some that are "newly added" to amazon that are older titles, or were once on Amazon left and came back?

After 30 downloads with Amazon Prime/Mubi all my videos are downloaded in low resolution (480p)...

i had same problems while downloading video from amazon prime with ver.5.0.0.9

I'm getting the same thing. Says it is 720p, but actually it's 480. Trying to download American Horror Story.

I have found anything I had access to before the DRM update will download in full quality. Anything granted access to after the change is where there are issues. As an example a movie is available through one of my subscriptions which was active before the change I can download. However I liked the movie so much I bought it last night because the purchase gives 5.1 surround while 2.0 on the subscription. The purchased version downloads in the lower resolution,

I seem to be having the same issue. I used to be able to download stuff from Amazon in 1080P, but I tried to download the most recent episode of Wheel of Time using 5.0.0.9 and it said it downloaded in 720P but the system is reporting the resolution is even lower than that. It looks like it is 480P also.......log is attached.

The developers are trying to adapt our software to the new Amazon service, it will take some time to resume the 1080P download, please understand. Thank you.

I ran into the same issue stated. However in my case, I was downloading an older series "House". Reverting to 5.0.0.8 has allowed me to continue downloading in 1080p as expected.

I got the same issue, Amazon will only load Tom Clancys Without Remorse in 540p an Stereo 2 Channel.
Its a mess. Even more and more will not work fine anymore. I wish we will came soon back to the good old time, where amazon and also netflix with load with 1080p and EAC 5.1 Channels.

Unfortunately, none of the versions released so far (starting with 5.0.0.8 and up) have had anything in the release notes about a final FULL fix for the DRM changes from Dec 1 and Dec 7 on any service yet. There are only mentions of temporary work arounds being put in place that have limits.

And the silence implies they are still working on it.

I will say a competing product I follow is also still having issues too, so it is not surprising the Fab team is still working on it.
