Correct. But that is why people keep bringing up Disney used to be 1080p and saying its still "broken". Keep in mind that back then, the Fab team did claim it was DOWNLOADING even though by all appearances it was screen recording of those 1x and 2x services (as you had to watch what was "downloading"). I will say for screen recording it was way better than the "top dog" competitor app I had at that time which were intended to screen record. It was starting with DVDfab DRM Downloader v3.1.0.0that Disney+ started true downloading (without watching, as fast as downloading a file). That switch in methods is what introduced the "browser limits" on services, thus limiting Disney+, Hulu, etc. at 720p.

The current HBOMax 720p limit is due to changes on HBO"s side which impacted competitor's tools as well. The Fab team needs to fix it in StreamFab (as at least one competitor has already done), and hopefully the Fab team is working on the fix.

when i bought the program it was dvdfab downloader and disney+ was 1080 i still have movies i download from disney + in 1080

I'm kinda with you guys here. I personally would rather have the few "main" downloaders work correctly instead of have 50 different modules. It's nice to have a selection but I agree, the ones available should be prioritized to be fixed before adding more sites. If streamfab's main competitor can do it, then they should be able to as well. I have both this and the competitor for that reason. Also to be fair, these guys have picked up the ball a lot when the other guy couldn't as quickly. Overall, you are right twhiting9275 and I'm on board with you.

That's why I'm being a little patient right now, got what I needed with their 21 day trial (if it's the same company).

I really like StreamFab's product (and DVDFab) a lot and their choices and settings.

The other product I just found a couple of days ago (due to people posting here about it supporting HBO Max) only supports 7 sites and has no versatility in download or setting choices but it does support 1080p and has download speed settings (with unlimited) that make it really fast.

It errored out a few times, but retries on same files so far were successful.

Maybe because they support fewer sites with hardly any software settings they can spend more time & resources focusing on changes like the HBO Max one.

And the 7 sites they do support contain my top 5 that I'm mainly focused and concerned about.

(I always can fall back on Screen Capture for other less used sites and do it on my other attached monitor concurrently while using PC)

Yes, I do think that StreamFab can multi-task but they have a *lot* of things they support in their software packages.

That doesn't mean the top sites, like HBO Max should have to take so long though.

At this point, I don't *think* I'll also get the other product, but if it this timeframe by StreamFab was on Amazon Prime (my number one site) and took a month, I would get it as a backup and still might.

My top sites/ranking that I need consistent support on.

1. Amazon Prime (Paramount+, a couple of other channels)
2. Netflix
3. Disney+ & HBO Max

Perhaps StreamFab could ask it users to rate their 10 top sites or could even collect anonymous data (with user permission) on site usage to prioritize resources if they are limited or causing delays in core support?

Keep in mind that in the past, with the big DRM change in December, the FAB team was faster than the competitor. And there were other times the FAB Team was quicker. BUT there are also times the competitor also was faster to fix.

I too wish they could get AppleTV+ downloading as higher resolution again, and fix the HBOMax 720p limit. And I know there are other bugs and issues that have persisted and haven't been fixed yet, all the while they have released new modules. And their schedule does frustrate me at times.

You often accuse the FAB Team of "they don't care". How do you determine the Fab Team "doesn't care"? Are you just assuming "they don't care" because its taking long to fix AppleTV+ or to get a few long standing bugs fixed?

What if they haven't been able to figure out how to work around the change to the AppleTV+ DRM yet? For example, do we know of any other product that can currently download from AppleTV+ in 1080p or even 720p??

In the case of the current HBOMax situation, SF appears to be using a different process/method than the competition, maybe in this case it just takes longer to implement a fix?

And what if those other bugs that remain are only impacting a smaller percentage of users or happen only under certain circumstances? Its possible they'd consider them lower priority than something which impacts everyone.

How do YOU know they are not working on some/any of it? Look at the many bugs they have addressed.

I don't know how many programmers they have, how good they are, how quickly or slowly they work, what their development cycle is, what is on their road map of new features, how they prioritize new features over bugs, or even determine priority of what bugs should be fixed first, etc. So I can't really say one way or the other.

I can just say, as a user I wish they would/could fix HBOMax, AppleTV+ and some of the lingering bugs, even if they are small bugs, and obviously I wish they'd fix it sooner rather than later.

Based on personal interaction with support, and the fact that they refuse to (not cannot, but literally refuse to) fix bugs that have been pointed out to them for better than a year now.

AppleTV+ 720p/1080p/2160p is L1 CDM only so is HBO Max 1080p/2160p. So if it hasn't been fixed you can assume that streamfab doesn't have a L1 CDM
