I also use K-Lite with MPC-HC but it won't play because:

1. There are errors in the files as you can see from my screenshot
2. Unless they now download and decrypt at the same time like the competitor, the files are encrypted

I could be wrong on Forum but definitely not Home

Doesn't play in MPC-HC, VLC or Kodi

I wrote wrong on Number 2 and not Number 1 but it added these links instead... weird...

The V_QUICKTIME happened before with Channel 4 and it was when the MKVToolNix option was selected. I switched to FFmpeg muxing and never went back to MKVToolNix

You have a great memory. Clearly the author of MKVToolNix is mistaken about using V_QUICKTIME as a substitute for an unknown codec. As I wrote before, at https://gitlab.com/mbunkus/mkvtoolnix/-/issues/2555 he defends the practice. I don't now agree. So ends my use of MKVToolNix as my MKV writing library in StreamFab, just like you.

Nothing plays when you download at H264 or H265, it downloads but you get a scrambled picture in H264 and no picture in H265, what a disgrace,

FWIW, and because I don't delve into the technical details, I'm also confirming this problem. Similar results when downloading movies. Test subject was "Awakenings".
