I just upgraded to 6.1.1.0 and now I can't log in to HBOMax. I was first given a notice that I needed to log in to a web browser first, then come back to StreamFab and select "already did that" or something like that. I logged in with Chrome then tried logging in with StreamFab but I did not get the same pop up, it just will not log in. I tried uninstalling but now when I try to log in I get a message saying "restarting the software is required.." but once I restart it, the same thing happens. I can't log in.

v6.1.1.0 Can't Log In HBOMax

I just downloaded and tried to install the new update v6.1.1.1 but after installing twice, the version is still 6.1.1.0. When I open it I am shown another upgrade notice popup. I still can't log in to HBOMax. When I try the log in popup appears again but when I click "Already Done" nothing happens. The button doesn't work. I have logged in to HBOMax in both Firefox and Chrome and I still can't log in through StreamFab.
So apparently the update version number is wrong or the update is just not working. I also noticed during the last 4 upgraded, the program installs but freezes on the 100% complete installation screen for at least 5 minutes.
So as of now I can't update the version, the log in popup for HBOMax does nothing, I can't log in through StreamFab, the program freezes during installation and the latest version isn't really v6.1.1.1.

Only thing that works is logging in through Amazon Prime Video.
It's very annoying because i have to keep paying $15.99/month instead of using my native HBO Max account where i paid $29.99 for the whole year!
Hi Jpp72,
Auto Login is working ok for me.
Here's a suggestion you might try if you're not already doing this.
I created a shortcut of StreamFab and under shortcut/advanced have it set to "run as administrator".
Whenever I install a new version of StreamFab, I just delete the new Icon that it creates and use the shortcut that I created with "run as administrator".
This has been a resolution to similar issues when there are issues with StreamFab privilege's/registry coding.
It *shouldn't* be necessary, but might help.

It seems like you are possibly experiencing some different issues.
The not being able to close, did you try a Cntrl/Alt/Delete and check to see if QCEF program is running and kill it?
StreamFab is quirky about the QCEF running and not being able to force close StreamFab.
Here's what I would try first (leaving out 3rd party registry cleaner which *might* be necessary).
1. Reboot system.
2. Logon to HBOMax thru browser and log off all devices from account settings and then logoff.
3. Remove StreamFab from Add/Remove programs (and configuration) in Windows
4. Clear Local Data, Logs/Temp for StreamFab
5. Install 6.1.1.1 from DVDFab.cn offline download (currently available) and code your options in settings
6. Create a shortcut to StreamFab that has "run as administrator" and delete the one that 6.1.1.1 created
7. Launch Chrome, logon to HBO Max & Login
8. Launch StreamFab from Shortcut and see if HBOMax logs in
Hopefully this might help.
Also sometimes it's necessary to do the 3rd party registry cleaner thingy.
Also, this "run as adminstrator" should *not* be necessary, but sometimes it is...

It took me 3 reboots to finally kill the running StreamFab process. I couldn't even force it closed using taskkill.
After the third reboot I was finally able to completely uninstall StreamFab and reinstall.
I always run StreamFab as admin, I even run the start menu shortcuts as admin.
I still can't log in to HBOMax using Chrome then clicking the "Already Done" button but I can now log in directly through StreamFab.

I have no doubts about what you are experiencing.
I had a similar experience, booted from a clean install of Win10/64 Pro & Win11/64 Pro and did not experience issues with StreamFab, only had the problem on my Win10/64 Pro that was an upgrade from Win7/64 Pro.
Turned out to be some old registry stuff from Malwarebytes that even it's custom registry fixer they made (they knew about some of their registry issues from previous versions) would not fix.
Eventually a registry cleaner did fix the issue in the Win10/64 Pro upgrade from Win7/64 Pro.
Every person's operating environment is different.
Currently I'm using the Win10/64 Pro upgrade that works on nearly every one of my older programs that is an upgrade from Win7/64 pro.
I could not install a few programs (even in compatibility mode) on a clean install of Win 10/64 Pro.
The Win11/64 Pro clean boot I have is even worse for compatibility with some of my old & lifetime licenses.
I don't have the funds to re-buy programs just for Win11 or want to get subscriptions when I have past "lifetime" licenses that work on Win10.
But I am keeping updates current on all systems and have limited this machine to upgrading to only Win10 via Group Policy System/Version.
