    Streamfab 6.1.1.6 Amazon

In older versions when selecting Amazon series episodes, on top was shown 'x files of y selected'. Since 6.1.1.5 this is gone. Can we have this feature back? It would make work easier. Beside this 6.1.1.6 is working well an I appreciate the new features.

The problem is known, it will be fixed in the coming version.

6.1.1.6 is NOT working properly for me on W10. It is STILL NOT PROPERLY DOWNLOADING H265. Is there nobody there that tests anything anymore? I find it inconceivable that known problems continue to exist through MULTIPLE releases.

I upgraded the software this morning, and the very first Amazon program I tried to download in H265 started using H264. I cancelled it, restarted StreamFab, and tried the old trick of switching to H264 on the downloader page, then back to H265, and one program downloaded properly in H265 (But WAY SLOW compared to the past). That program was Jesse Stone: No Remorse.

After that download finished, I tried to start another, and now NOTHING I try can get it to download with H265.

      Log attached.

Update: I am seeing the same problems on two different computers, one is a standard commercial desktop about 6 years old, and the other is a brand new custom build with a fast processor and a high-end GPU. Both are running Windows 10. So hardware does not seem to be any cause of all these problems.

Can you post examples of things downloading in H264 so i can test on my end? I am using 6.1.1.6 for Amazon Canada and it works fine. Still using 6.1.1.3 for Amazon US.

Downloaded Class of '07 yesterday and it downloaded in H265.

I am getting h265 downloads, but when I click on a season, the program selects the first episode. When I unselect that episode and grab the one I want, it does not analyze the one I check, even if I toggle between h264 and h265. I do get the best quality download of h265, but it will say the episode is 1.77 Gb and then when it downloads, it could be more, could be less.

So, it looks like they removed the feature of analyzing the episode you click on, but left the new appearance.

As far as download speed, it looks like they (Amazon) put a hard limit depending on time of day.

Yesterday after I got that one movie to download in H265, I tried various other Jesse Stone movies over and over again, and they ALL started as H264. Then for no apparent reason, the downloader settings even seemed to stop letting me even select H265. I would first select H264 and wait for the analyzing to finish, then when I re-selected H265, the option would not even stay selected - it would immediately revert to H264. And I confirmed this on the second computer just a few minutes later after I rebooted it and let StreamFab update to 6.1.1.6. Perhaps this was somehow being caused by Amazon instead of StreamFab? I do not know - I can only report what I saw happening. I WAS having some problems with the download analyzing for H264 just never finishing, so that might suggest some problem on Amazon's side. In those cases, if I cancelled the task and re-selected it, the analyzing went fine.

This morning I have a new download running with H265. I have not yet tried to re-test the Jesse Stone movies that gave me fits yesterday.

Maybe I was too harsh in my nasty comment about not testing? It seems that there is a possibility that these problems with H265 are being caused by Amazon? Again, I do not know for sure; I can only report what I am seeing. But my test results are very inconsistent

Yesterday, I couldn't get StreamFab 6.1.1.6 to properly download anything from Amazon as H265, but TODAY, it seems to be working for me. Nothing at all has changed on my computer between yesterday and today. I haven't even restarted StreamFab after downloading a large queue in H264 yesterday.

I will keep updating this thread as I do more testing, but right now I have done several good downloads in H265 this morning, and I have one of the specific Jesse Stone movies that did not work yesterday downloading as H265 right now.

Another update: Today, MOST of the programs I tried to download from Amazon US worked fine with H265, but 2 of the Jesse Stone movies do not.

With either Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost or Jesse Stone: Lost in Paradise, when the first Downloader windows pops up, the Resolution field is just blank. If I then select H264, it does a new Analysis and all looks normal But after that, I cannot re-select H265 at all; clicking on H265 brings up a brief Analyzing window, then it just goes back to H264. This was happening at 0900 this morning, and it has remained that way all day. Other Jesse Stone movies still seem to work OK, it is just these two that are still giving me problems.

Have you set to download the video to CBR H265?

Seems like that the video has CVBR H265 only. Checked "Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost".

No, all of my downloads are set to use CVBR. But I just checked it again, and the problem I described is the same when trying either CVBR or CBR.

Just found another program on Amazon doing the same thing with 6.1.1.7: Your Highness (2011).
