6.1.2.3 Hulu is broken - " Housebroken"

The serial Housebroken, cannot get past analyzing the file. I have let it sit like the below for 30 minutes. I went to Season 2 and I get the box but there is no audio and no video resolutions to choose from. When I try to download it just does nothing. Will someone please verify for me.

Now I am finding there are many Hulu things that just won't do anything, StreamFab is not picking up any resolution or audio for these downloads. The show "Station 19" last episode in Season 6 doesnt work at all. This is pathetic.

I had no problem with Housebroken on Hulu. Analysis time lasted approximately one second on each video.



The only strangeness I noticed is that the most recent episode, S02E07, is only 720p while all the others are 1080p. This MIGHT be related to the report by someone else that HULU isn't doing 1080p as of a few days ago. Perhaps a DRM change?
I didn't get a chance to reply back to that person but on checking my latest Grey's Anatomy episodes, they were 720p. I actually was more surprised that the episodes before that were 1080p because Grey's Anatomy is an ABC(US) show, which is owned by Disney. ABC(US) and other Disney channels (example: ESPN) only broadcast in 720p. Since I have the complete collection of Grey's Anatomy, I went further back in my library and all episodes were in 720p.

Cats4U 4U What version of this software are you using? There is always some secret workaround here. Try Season 2 Episode 7 of Housebroken. Just download that episode and tell me what happens.

I have no idea why. They need to fix it. I tried 6.1.2.2 and 6.1.2.3 none of them work, this is getting ridiculous.

Ok, your screenshot was very helpful. It made it obvious to me that your settings were different to mine. Cutting to the chase - x264 = success, x265 = failure.

I'm running a modded version 6.1.2.3 using the latest nightly FFMpeg.exe and v76 of MKVMerge but it shouldn't make any difference if I was using the base 6.1.2.3.


This is my normal setting. x264, Stereo (AAC), no subs, prefer 1080p


This is x265 (with all other settings the same my x264). It looks very similar to yours with the missing audio. The bitrate is different. I couldn't get it to show 7021 kbps like yours.

Try downloading using x264. One other thing that I'm probably OCD about, whenever there is a new update to StreamFab, I always go into the account of the streamer and if they allow it (HULU does) I remove the old devices so that the latest SF is the only device listed. Whether this helps with HULU, I don't know, but it definitely helps not seeing the kitty on Peacock. Try it, if you feel like it.

It's impossible to download just one episode from Season 2 Episode 7. The download screen just reverts without a resolution box, after you choose 720p or 1080p in the first one. Try downloading just Season 2 Ep 7 (Housebroken) and you will see what I mean.

I get the same results as you when trying to download S2E07 of Housebroken using StreamFab - The Competitor has no issues downloading S2E07.

I tried H264 & H265 both with Hulu set as Auto and as US - both failed, H265 gives error, H264 just loops continuously.

I've grown weary of troubleshooting these issues, trying different versions, etc... uninstalling, reinstalling, logging off devices.

I have the Hulu with commercials package I also don't have "Pin Protection" - which I heard can cause some issues.

I downloaded all seasons of Grey's Anatomy in 1920x1080 prior to 5/19/23 this month.

That 720p Hulu change happened after 5/19/23 for me evidently, since now I also get 720p from StreamFab & The Competitor.

This is getting a little crazy now. I noticed that if I tried to download x265 after I had done x264, it always failed. I think related was this error found in StreamFab.log between the two downloads...

So, I changed my settings to x265 and shut down SF and started it up again and tried to download HouseBroken S02E07.

It looks like Chameleon's but the audio is there.


It downloads but it is x264. MediaInfo confirms this. This matches what beaugrc reported in the other message. Hulu x265 1080p turns into x264 720p.
This appears to be the main part of the StreamFab.log that shows the error...
