After clicking anywhere on the screen, StreamFab crashes.
So, I uninstalled the program, deleted the logs, and reinstalled the program, then deleted the Hulu tasks and went and reselected Golden Girls, Seasons 5,6, & 7 and started the download.
The first episode downloaded with no issues. The second episode hung on Downloading (no action). Again, clicking on the screen effectively crashed StreamFab -- System reported "Not Responding"
I'm starting to be a believer and this goes way beyond the Golden Girls. Hulu is screwed up! I've seen so many weird things going on with it today that I don't know where to start. They must be in the middle of making some kind of changes because even just trying to watch shows online is screwed up, nevermind downloading. Every time I try to load up a new show, it starts playing a show that I looked at previously. Weird stuff like that. I don't know whether to keep on testing it out or let it sit until they are done doing whatever it is they are doing. I definitely don't think this is a direct StreamFab issue. Can anyone else confirm real weirdness with the regular operation of Hulu (not the downloading with StreamFab)?
Mona, I'm using 6.1.2.4 and Hulu was a mess before when I tried to use it. Even just watching a show was screwed up. I can't test it right now again because I'm in the middle of a Windows Update. Off-topic: Why does Windows take 2 hours to update and I can update my Chromebook in about 5 seconds?
I'm finally done with Windows Update and went to test my 6.1.2.4 with Hulu again. This afternoon I saw Hulu behave like I never saw a streamer behave before. Initially I downloaded an episode of Class of '09 without any problem. Then I tried to download 4 Golden Girls episodes and every time I tried to bring them up it started playing the episode of Class of '09. I finally got it to stop somehow and it would only let me download one Golden Girl episode. So, I shut down StreamFab and when I started it up again it started playing the Class of '09 again. I shut down again and this time I deleted the log and Temp folders and restarted SF. I got all 4 of the Golden Girls but I could never get the new movie Flamin' Hot to bring up the SF options pop-up. It was more than that but I forget all the strange stuff it was doing. Real weird! That's why I wrote that it appeared that they must have been in the middle of working on Hulu.
Now, about 16 hours later everything worked perfectly. I didn't have a bit of trouble in any way. I'm still convinced that I had the misfortune of logging into Hulu right when they were doing major work on it. I never had any crashes or hangs. It just seemed that Hulu was doing whatever it wanted to do and didn't care what I wanted it to do. At no time did I get the feeling it was StreamFab's fault for the weirdness.
Try this trick, it *might* help. Be ready for a fast mouse movement:
(You might have to add the series to My Stuff) Click the name of the series, quickly click Cancel while it is analyzing.
Now click the series again, go the the season you want with the dropdown, then click the episode you want.
This is essentially the same as playing the episode in a browser than using control C in the address bar of the show.
New! StreamFab 6.1.2.7 is released (June 15, 2023)
