6.1.3.3 Hulu still doesnt work ( keeps analyzing)

Please would someone verify that this isn't something on my end? I installed 6.1.3.3 and I tried downloading a few movies, they just keep analyzing and analyzing. Nothing happens. Does anyone check to see if these new version work before they are released? Can someone try Old Man, please?

I get this issue sometimes, have not figured out a pattern. I usually just have to click cancel, close the app, wait 10 seconds, relaunch the app.

So far so good for me, I wish they had something in this program that would say if you had to reboot after installation, or close the program and restart. I assume because the program is updated and open it should work but that's not the case.

I was having trouble with Hulu not detecting audio, or video, or both and changed the codec from 265 to 264 and then everything worked. A few things are downloading at 720 instead of 1080 but they are downloading.

Another reason for making all download windows like the Amazon one. What We Do in the Shadows Season 5 shows no audio when in H265 but works in H264.

If the download window was like the APV one, we can toggle that on the fly and also maybe try to download only H265 video then switch to H264 to download only audio (i know the audio has nothing to do with the video codec but that is what SF is showing)

I am getting so mixed up, why can't the program just work as it used to, I cannot remember all these workarounds, and by the way I do appreciate jpp72 working so hard to get the program stable for us, I am serious. Why cant it just work?

It's really baffling. It has gone down a lot in quality. There is no real changelog and that is definitely not helping.

I know not everyone can read code or even understand pull requests and commits but those of us who do could point the devs in the right direction, or better yet, know what to test for regression.

I understand they cannot give us access to their git repo but just the short description of each commit would be great. If they don't document every single change internally then they have no business selling software.

I am an IT person to the core and also a developer so usually we make the best testers. If i use something every day, especially something i paid a shit ton of money on, i will find bugs and i will report them. The only issue with me now that i am older is my patience is ultra thin when i know i am 100% right. I have reported and helped fix a lot of issues with Kodi but earlier this year, i reported something where one of the mods was arguing that's not how it works and i lost my shit. He had dismissed another bug before and that was the last straw.

So after they ignored the latest issue, i have stopped reporting bugs. You saw my huge library so i am in a unique position for finding bugs.

There are 3 pretty big Kodi bugs that have now been left unaddressed for 5 versions. It's annoying because i have to do special things to mitigate or avoid them but i will not be reporting them. I am that spiteful.

I hope i am never in that position here because i think StreamFab is better in a lot of ways but this analyzing single episodes is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. If they don't implement that soon along with the same download window as amazon for the other major sites, i will ghost this forum.

But before then, i will probably setup a bug tracker somewhere and put the big bugs there. We can all consult it and see what the big issues are and how long they have been an issue. That may light a fire under their ass...

Well, all I can say is thank you for all the help you have given me, without you, I don't think I could use the program anymore, it takes longer to learn all the different workarounds and then write them down so you do not have to go looking through threads, just to download a movie. Without you, I would be totally lost. You are a really good guy to take the time to help all of us. I should really give Cats4U some credit here also, he has helped on many occasions. You guys should be getting paid.

Thanks for saying that. A little gratitude goes a long way! When people appreciate it, it makes it worthwhile.

I think i should be getting a free Amazon license . That way i can have 100 downloads for US and 100 downloads for Canada

Now that i got a boost from your thanks, I'll definitely setup a bug tracker!

Thanks, Chameleon! That's the nicest thing you ever said to me or about me. I really, REALLY appreciate it. We've had some confrontational moments in the past but I think those days are gone now.
As for JPP72 (Jack), I'm the President of his fan club. He does things I'd love to do if I wasn't so old and lazy now. Nobody documents a problem (and a solution) better. I'm just starting to worry because he seems to be showing early signs of the "cranky old man" bug which I'm seriously affected with. I swear that I'm not trying to be egotistical but both of us are affected by the "wanna help people" bug. It drives us both nuts when we think we see an answer to a problem that would make a user's time with the program more productive and enjoyable and we can't get it implemented. I just hope everyone understands that, especially the StreamFab staff and developers. When we go off on the StreamFab folks, it is nothing personal, we just want them to make the best program available for their users. Happiness by their users will get them tons more new users than all the stupid ads that they bombard us with.
