I am asking anyone who has access to the CWTV module to help me here, I am trying to download " Dust Season 1 Episode 1", could someone please try it for me? I believe there are more episodes but Fab doesn't detect them, and the one episode that it does is so slow downloading, I am waiting over an hour already. 860 b/s (bytes)

Chameleon,
Since I only really use StreamFab for TheCW now, was interested in your post & wanted to look at.
F/y/i...
Dust on 6.1.3.3/6.1.3.4 downloads with about the same speed.
Same thing with Heros 6.1.3.3/6.1.3.4 audio choices not being there.
I'll try previous versions later, but 6.1.3.4/6.1.3.3 are acting the same on these issues, don't know if it's "server side" changes, but will try jumping to previous versions after uninstalling later just for more detail for you.

So i clicked the x to kill the queue and StreamFab crashed. Lovely.
I then tried with yt-dlp's native downloader and it was the same slow speed with a ton of errors. The errors were all:
Code:urlopen error EOF occurred in violation of protocol (_ssl.c:1131)
I tried with aria2c and it was much faster than the native downloader (as expected)
I disconnected from NordVPN and enabled my DNS proxy instead in order to spoof my location to the US (remember my real location is Canada).
I was able to now download ~600 MB in about 2 minutes with the native yt-dlp downloader. Obviously this content is DRM'd so there is no way for me to know if it downloaded the whole thing or just a portion of it because the file is "corrupted". 600 MB for a 2 hour movie is very very low.
It is kinda baffling but it really seems to be a combination CW/SF issue. Maybe i got lucky with a different CDN
I tried with StreamFab again with the DNS proxy and it is much much faster but that is not saying much. It goes all the way up to 8 MB/s, then down to 1.5 MB/s then slowly back up to 5 MB/s, then down again and up again. It's not ideal but at least you can eventually get the movie before climate change finishes destroying the planet. I will let it run and post back if/when it finishes the download.

jpp72 Thank you, my friend, this whole program is not worth the time or the effort anymore. Thank you for all your good feedback, it seems that this is a Stream Fab issue. But I cannot verify that. But if you can't do it, nobody can. I had Dust downloaded to 86% and it took 45 minutes to get that far and it crashed on me. Seeing that they only offer 1 episode of the whole season it really want important anyway. Another module down the tubes. But I sincerely thank you for helping me.
Mike_M - I want to thank you also for your feedback. It means a lot to me that you guys can verify that it's not me or my computer that is bad here. Interesting how none of these modules work correctly anymore.Last edited by Chameleon; 08-03-2023, 05:43 PM.Programmer in Python, Java, JavaScript, Swift, PHP, SQL, C#, C++, Go, R

Look at the movie The Protector with Tony Jaa:
For the movie Dust, StreamFab downloaded the whole thing way faster what you were experiencing. This is with the DNS proxy. Over VPN, it was way too slow.
Again, speculating here but it may be something wrong with whichever CDN you connected to and i got lucky when my IP address changed.
However, the 600 MB i downloaded with yt-dlp clearly wasn't close and it probably just skipped all the errors and it didn't download the failed chunks. The final file is 7 GB
