    Stremfab & ads

Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to block ads on some random sites while using Streamfab? Trying to get a season of a show that's not on a everday normal streaming site and every time i click play I get a popup in another tab. Takes me forever to get it to play. Works fine in normal chrome browser cause i have ublock origin blocking everything.

getting the videos from that site is a pain, instead use - https://bstsrs.one/show/ghost-whispe...on/5/episode/1
just choose streamplay.to and you can just right click on the video to save as mp4. no need to use streamfab, you can use your regular browser
        with UBlock origin.

I have been requesting browser extensions for well over a year. It is only very recently that I learned (after a great deal of research on my part) that while CEF (StreamFab uses a version of CEF bound to QT5 called QCEF as its browser) is capable of using extensions, they are very limited in scope. Meaning: they would possibly not be able to be used for blocking ads or running a password manager (which I was most interested in). There seems to be some debate still on how limited the scope is. So, while there is always hope in the future, I wouldn't bet on it.

Browser extensions would help so much. I lost count on how many times I had to x out ads just to get the video I wanted. It was ridiculous.

I'm working on them now. The downloads are very slow.

You can use a VPN that blocks ads. NordVPN has that. But some sites won't work if they can't display ads

Oh, so we are going to start censoring our messages now? I just wrote an anti-ad message and it came up unapproved. I removed a curse word that I used because I was not happy receiving this...

thinking that that was the cause of the unapproval. It would not accept my edit. So, I copied the whole thing (minus the curse) into a new message and that was not approved. That was the wrong thing to do.

Messages with "too many links" usually get unapproved.

I remember this fucking window where i complained that i don't want a pop-up to tell me "Product is Up-to-date" when we all know it's an excuse for an ad. Tell me there is a new version. Don't tell me there is no new version like wtf?

Mona Can we get the developers to AT LEAST not tell us about sales on SHIT WE ALREADY OWN???? What exactly does it give me to see those ads when i have the ALL-IN-ONE LIFETIME?

They should actually stop the ads altogether because WE PAID SO MUCH MONEY for this. I don't want ads in my paid programs.

So, that's what the censorship was about? Ok, I know how to get my point across then.

I guess you just proved that it wasn't the curse that got it censored.

DVDFab, That Updater ad is BULLSHIT!!!! That crap popped up all on its own. I didn't ask to check for an update nor has an update been released. It's just another excuse to feed us more unwanted ads.
I didn't spend 389US$ over two installment (because you don't know the meanings of All-In-One and Lifetime) for you to bombard me with advertisements. This is the way that you treat your paying customers? I can spend $1.99 for an Android app to make it into a "Pro" version and then the developers of that app has the good sense to remove all ads. That is how a good company treats their paying customers.

Hello folks! Have you ever wondered if you can get a free yearly subscription to your most wanted StreamFab (or DVDFab) product? Now there comes an exceptional chance! The whole process is pretty simple: Post a genuine review of StreamFab on any of the following websites, and then contact us to claim your trophy — a

I'm very tempted now to write several "genuine" reviews. Anyone care to join me?

Mona, make sure you realize that I am not blaming you personally and I apologize if my language offended you. I worked in Customer Service for many years and it is a thankless job. You are always in the middle between executive policy and (if you are a good customer service person) the wanting to do all you can for the customer despite the policy. I really believe that this is a cultural issue with regards to the ads. In most cases I would think that most companies nowadays in Europe and North America would not even think to force ads on existing customers especially if the ads are for items that the customer already possesses. It is rarely done and is frowned on. I'm guessing that I don't have to tell you the long history of Hong Kong to do anything to complete a sale and the customer be damned. It's a legacy of the British forcing opium on your country folk. The skyscrapers there are a testament to all the sales that were pushed on the customer before now. The attitude continues. I'll leave it there rather than get into geo-political concepts and really risk censorship, not from DVDFab but Beijing.
