copy & paste the URL in a new tab, change www to mbasic play the video & you can right click & save the video to MP4

Tried as you suggested.
Trying to "save video as" it wants to save it as an 12K html file. I thought Streamfab was supposed to be compatible with Facebook.
When you actually play the video on facebook as suggested in the first post, you can select 1080p. Within the mbasic playback it looks significantly smaller.

facebook changed something so normal yt-dlp no longer works.

I was able to search youtube for the same video and download it. Thanks for the help, will install the browser add on any way for future.

According to a recent issue on the yt-dlp Github site, Facebook has now started to use DASH manifests. The yt-dlp extractor for Facebook has been modified to handle that. See issue: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/com...d1dd050632a579 This was committed on August 1st, 2023. It has not made it into the latest Stable release yet. The latest Stable release was on July 6th, 2023. We are probably due for a Stable update release shortly. StreamFab uses a modified (additional StreamFab-related options added) Stable release which they call YoutubeToMP3Process.exe. A YoutubeToMP3Process.exe update hopefully will follow shortly after a Stable yt-dlp update and will possibly fix StreamFab's Facebook download problem.
