Pluto TV Plutotv low resolution all videos

I purchased the plutotv license, but the program downloads all the videos with a maximum resolution of 854x480, is this normal? When I download the videos it starts with 720p but then settles to the lowest resolution.Since I just purchased the license, can I ask for the money back?
