Also tried to download some anime in Crunchyroll prime channel that were released a couple of years ago and only 540p is downloaded despite it offering 1080p when parsing
Ok i tried to stay away but i need to interject here.

When you say it looks like re-encoding to me, what do you mean???

The way StreamFab works is this:
      • I select 1080p 8000kbps and click download
      • StreamFab tries to get 1080p but can't get the key
      • StreamFab tries to download 720p but can't get the key
      • StreamFab tries to get 540p and it finds the key for that
      • StreamFab actually downloads the highest bitrate available for 540p which is 2500kbps
So again, what do the 3 different bitrates have to do with re-encoding? I am genuinely curious about the reasoning

When downloading, the bitrate is provided by the streamer, so you usually get some random numbers like 2386kbps. When encoding, the bitrate is provided by Streamfab, so you get whole numbers like 15000kbps, 8000kbps, etc.

Anyway, the episodes in question still won't download in 1080p, even though it was offered in parsing. Some other movies I tried also would only download in lower resolution. Looks like whatever titles, even older ones, that would not download before is still not downloadalbe, at least in HD

But maybe 6166 is downloading despite what it shows in bitrate... I don't know. After I did the clean uninstall like Cat4U suggest the bitrate is normal now.

To understand, by coding you don't mean the "Remuxing" display on the display, because that's something different.

Yes, and what bitrate does the file have now?

I got the email at 1.38pm UK time. Ive screenshot part of the email.
Been using the competition while Streamfab catches up so this email was the first time in 2 weeks I was alerted to any changes although as we now know its still no use

                  Why not check before posting?

"streamfab unveils fixes for download issues" sounds pretty clear even if it's not really accurate.

That makes it even sadder that they didn't run that by the two Mods in this forum before sending it out.

That is categorically false. The round numbers are just labels and not the actual bitrate. We lobbied StreamFab to give us real approximate bitrates and it has been like that since v6.1.3.6 that was released 2023-08-24

IF you are seeing round numbers, my guess would be StreamFab cannot access that video or you are using a Codec and Bitrate type that is not available.

Please provide us with the details of the media you are trying to download that gives you these round numbers so we can see for ourselves.

As for the dropdown showing you that it is available in 1080p so why can't it download it, that is because the MPD file contains all that info and you do not need decryption keys to read that info. It's just an XML file. So just because it shows you it is available in 1080p, it won't download it at that resolution if StreamFab can't get the keys for it.

EDIT: I didn't notice this was already addressed by Cats4U before replying

It's been a month and there's still no useful progress for Netflix. I will continue to wait. And if possible, please ask the developer to temporarily download netflix in 360p or something, because I just need to get the dubbed audio. Thanks!

Sorry, but the developers are supposed to waste their time on this?

What does the Cats4U say, jpp72 or Germania ? What could that be:

New: Add support to download Dialogue Boost Audio from Amazon Prime Video

A legitimate question that also occurred to me.

It's a filter that boosts the frequencies of the human voice so you can understand the dialog better. According to Google's Generative AI -
The fundamental frequency of human speech, also known as the pitch or f0, is typically between 85-155 Hz for men and 165-255 Hz for women. The fundamental frequency of a child's voice is around 300 Hz.
I have a Chrome extension that I use primarily on my Chromebook while watching videos. I think I like the idea of using the extension better because you can adjust it live as needed. Whereas, with the Dialogue Boost Audio for Amazon, you are stuck with the same boost forever.
