    StreamFab for Mac Mac users

So when is all this DRM-cracking excitement going to rain down on us Mac users?

Agreed! It feels crappy that we’re always last to get the updates. Meanwhile, I’m sure many of you are like myself, wanting to download high quality movies BEFORE they’re taken off the streaming platforms that they’re available on. So often by the time we get the update, some of the movies are already removed. Perhaps if it’s going to be so long, we can receive a temporary license for downloading on Windows, that expires once the new update is available.

Just like when Mac people were boasting that Macs don't get viruses, i was always telling people it's a numbers game. If you have the potential to infect 10 Million PCs or 2 Million Macs, wouldn't you concentrate on creating viruses for PCs and maximize the return on the time it took to write the virus?

Same goes for StreamFab. I don't know how many users there are for each camp but if you have 10,000 Windows users and 2,000 Mac users, it makes sense to do everything for the PC and then port it to a Mac.

It's not as easy as just compiling for a different platform. There are a lot of differences on how you code for a PC vs a Mac. Perfect example is that DRM MPD is only for Windows. Not available on Mac

Usually when there is a major update like this, the Mac version isn't too far behind. They fix a bunch of things over several Windows versions and then the Mac has all these updates in 1 version.

Since there is no DRM MPD on Mac, they may release one more version for Windows to fix Stan and then the Mac version will be out.

But since they release several versions in the same week, it's very possible you get a Mac version this week, If not, i doubt it will be later than next week.
