    Amazon Misleading 1080p Availability Warning

Some of you may know this already but very often, Amazon will add a new episode of a show but only in H264. The H265 version is usually added a few hours later.

If you have your settings configured to download in H265 by default, StreamFab will give you the typical 1080p not available warning but that is not the real issue. The issue is the file is unavailable in H265 and that is at ANY resolution.

Size:	125.9 KB
ID:	444738

If i switch to H264, the file is available at all resolutions up to 1080p.

StreamFab should have a different message for varying situations.

If no resolutions at all are detected like this:

Name:	image.png
Views:	403
Size:	5.1 KB
ID:	444739

Then StreamFab should say something like:

This TV Show doesn't seem to have an H265 version. Please switch to H264 or analyze a different episode.

If there are resolutions available but not 1080p, then they can use that original message.

Assuming this is an Amazon module specific issue? Or does it affect only scheduled stuff?
As you well know, when you try to download something from NF and hit a similar snag, you get the post-download warning that although you selected h265 Dolby Vision blah blah blah, you got h264 instead.

Only Amazon simply because it's the only one with the H264/H265 radio buttons. Actually maybe it could happen with Max but only if they don't upload both versions at the same time.

Nothing to do with scheduled downloads unless you know exactly the time new episodes of shows are uploaded and try to download them right away.

Different channels have different upload times for different shows. The most annoying one is AllBlk. A show airs Friday night and it is up on Amazon the following Tuesday morning.
