Just re subscribed to Disney with adds, for some reason Streamfab does not allow me to download anything, I am not even given the normal option to download, the program just plays.

I can only say that current SF dl works with Disney+ Standard with Ads in Germany -
I don't use D+, but I would think it should not matter if ads or not. I use Peacock with ads and no issues and for some time Amazon started adding ads to stuff, unless willing to pay extra to go no ad again. And Amazon works.
I think there are a pretty good amount of users who may use D+ and it's odd no one else seems to have reported it. Now yes, maybe they all have no ads, but it seems unlikely.
You may want to try the dreaded uninstall and then install again. Or it might work just by deleting the temp and log folders.
Just check in setting where streamfab puts them, as some change location, if default location you can use:

D+ was often weird on AnyStream - one solution that worked like a charm when I couldn't get a download menu was to log out of D+ (on SF), open your browser and log in, create a new profile, keep the browser open, and then log in with SF using that new profile.
