Today I was finally able to download Firestarter 1984 in 1080p. Then I went to try downloading Taken and I got the due to the upgraded DRM you can only download 720p. Man I was excited thinking all of MAX.com downloads were finally fixed

Not yet, but I notice not long after I post my lists about what is still in 720p, they are usually added into the key cache. Presumably, someone is reading these posts and having the keys for the titles mentioned cached

Alright, very short list this time, haven't found much else that's not at full res now:

            Movies:
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Not sure why this one is always skipped... it wasn't *that* bad of a movie, lol)

            TV Shows:
His Dark Materials Season 1 & 2 (Available in 4k, only 1080p downloadable)
House of the Dragon Season 1
House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 7 (and 8 when it releases tonight at 6 pst)

I don't understand what purpose this list serves... You can see for yourself what resolution the file has when you download it!

As stated above it serves so the dev's can get these keys and cache them so it can be downloaded in higher resolutions.

I'm not fully up to speed on how StreamFab breaks a title's DRM or how many different keys exist. Feel free to correct me, but I doubt anyone here goes through their list of titles and manually adds something to the StreamFab server. Either the titles are automatically decrypted or, like Disney once did, they ship a truck full of keys. Germania or Cats4U , do you have any info on that?

I have no insight into SF techniques

But I also doubt the sense of a manual listing of titles ...
... either the keys including pssh are always synchronized automatically
or it doesn't happen and then no SF Stuff member will deal with it here in the forum.

With AnyStream the keys were collected centrally, which is why
you had to wait for new titles until the key(s) was entered.

With SF the license request is made on the client ..
.. which is why I can be the first to decrypt a new title.

If Max changes protection or re-encodes a file ..
.. an old key is of no use to you either.

But maybe the ex-mod knows something more precise

If I had to take a somewhat educated guess, I would say right now it's in a state of being fixed, but not in a state that they can actually ship the fix so we can analyze it with our clients. I would imagine they have a backend script that can fetch keys when fed title IDs. The timing of the titles being added around the same time during the night after I mention them on the forum and not working prior doesn't line up otherwise. At worst I'm wrong, and at best, I'm helping get some more titles with their keys cached - no real harm either way

My advice is: don't bother! It's a waste of time. Nobody reads this and puts titles anywhere, least of all Wilson.
