General tip for all users: When adding to a thread or reporting a new issue, it's a good idea to include the following information: StreamFab version number, platform, and country/region. Issues are often specific to a version, platform, or a particular country/region's server(s).

Note: I assume that neither the platform versions, the country versions (if there are indeed different ones), nor a given streaming service's country/region server configuration are identical. I could be wrong, though.
I started this thread and am in the US. It appears to be a US related issue.

          Hi,

From the log file, it's failed directly when downloading the stream video file from Max servier.

Let's check the network connection first.

          - Open the video url "https://cf.prd.media.h264.io/d85273c1-f618-4538-85fc-929f89cd4b54/v/1_083b4d/v9.mp4" in your Chrome browser, make sure that the encrypted video can be played back in Chrome (see the attached pic)

The log entry: Host cf.prd.media.h264.io not found
must be wrong or is only in SF

I can dl and decrypt v16 manually (all except FHD) - SF can't (for me)

MAX (Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Macedonia region) on 6.1.9.1 for me from recently. I cannot download anything. Tried with reinstalling, tried with removing the whole folder from my documents that contains Fab data (cookies and settings).
This region might be the same one as Hungary. But not sure.
              Everything else I use, works.

Wow! This appears to be more widespread than was initially thought. Someone probably should have mentioned this to Marketing before they sent out this email today.

As someone in the US - can confirm it's not that. Mine is working fine.

Although, there are still 4 titles that I have tested that aren't full res yet:
Wonder Woman (This is up to 1080p currently, but not 4k)
                      X-Men Origins: Wolverine
                      Scooby Doo: The WWE Mystery
                      George Carlins American Dream

Not sure if it helps at all - but I exclusively download in h265 (with priority for DV/HDR10 if available)

                          I had the same problem:
download fail 3 (Host cf.prd.media.h264.io not found)
although download and playback in the browser worked

And after various tests I can only say that a complete (!)
SF removal and reinstallation helped me.
Now it works with the same USA VPN and even with
previously saved old cookies without logging in again.

Nothing has changed in the SF program folder, so the

problem is either in the reg entries or, as I rather suspect,

                          in %AppData%\DVDFab\StreamFab

I was also having an issue after updating where nothing would work. I then tried updating another computer with the full installer and it worked just fine. On the computer where it didn't work I deleted the log and temp folder as well as the %AppData%\DVDFab folder, uninstalled StreamFab with the "remove configuration" box checked, Reinstalled StreamFab from the full installer, logged in to the service I was interested in, closed StreamFab, and reopened it and it works now. There are still some titles on Max that aren't 1080 for me (The last few episodes of Teen Titans Go S8, Movie Pass Movie Crash, Demolition, etc.) but there are quite a few titles that used to be 720 only that now work in 1080.

Ok, I can confirm that renaming / deleting the %AppData%\Roaming\DVDFab\StreamFab folder, uninstalling and reinstalling StreamFab 6.1.9.1 resolved my issues with MAX. I had previously tried uninstalling/reinstalling StreamFab to no avail. I concur that the AppData folder seems to be the culprit since that is the only thing I did differently this time.

Now to test the other providers. Just an FYI, I always use the off-line installer and have never used the online installer. In this case I had not made any changes prior to this issue beginning on Sunday.

                              Thanks,

Ok, I can confirm that renaming / deleting the %AppData%\Roaming\DVDFab\StreamFab folder, uninstalling and reinstalling StreamFab 6.1.9.1 resolved my issues with MAX. I had previously tried uninstalling/reinstalling StreamFab to no avail. I concur that the AppData folder seems to be the culprit since that is the only thing I did differently this time. ....

This does indeed work. (I got tired of waiting for an official fix.) I deleted the folder, installed today's release of 6.1.9.2, and Max now works. The only downside is that StreamFab Max informs me that nothing can be downloaded at a greater resolution than 720 because of DRM changes. But at least it works.

If you decide to perform this fix, a word of caution (because I didn't think ahead to what the consequences might be, so I learned the hard way). Not only will you lose your login passwords for each streaming service, but you'll also lose all your settings, queued downloads, and Scheduled downloads. (Your StreamFab license info, on the other hand, will be retained.) Be sure to do the following before deleting the folder:
                                1. Launch your current version of StreamFab, open the Scheduled tab, and take screenshots of every scheduled show.
                                2. Open the Downloads tab and screenshot any downloads that are in your queue.
                                3. Open the Settings menu and screenshot all your settings.
After reinstalling StreamFab, you'll have to recreate everything in 1 -3. It's not a big deal to do so from memory, but easier if you take screenshots before everything vanishes.
