So is it half broken? AV1 not successful.

    Success appears to be random. Does not matter how old the video is. Latest one I cannot download, just stays on analyzing forever:

    I called it on the built in browser and reques    ted AV1.

    If you closely watch it, it downloads for 1 second then goes to analyzing. Trying it in h264 or vp9 seems to work, but that's not what I want.

    The download appears to work correctly with Open Video Downloader.

    Confirmed with a bunch of other videos. AV1 no longer works, which makes no sense bc the front end is YTDLP. Almost every video I tried has AV1 options and will work with Open Video Downloader. I prefer SF as it gives a few more options including cover.jpg.

    I re-dl NF series Élite (full) + Bridgerton + The Rookie.s01 in 720p AV1 => all fine
    (The Decameron.s01e07 seems to be not offered in AV1)

    But for YouTube I can only confirm the AV1 no analyzing problem ..

    Perhaps because StreamFab is using an old version of yt-dlp (YoutubeToMP3Process.exe)? SF uses 2024.05.27 and the latest stable is 2024.07.25. I haven't compared the changelogs to see if any improvements with AV1 occurred between those two. I do know that there were some improvements to AV1 in June to FFmpeg.

    @Wilson.Wang, time to recompile YoutubeToMP3Process.exe/YoutubeToMP3Service.exe using the latest stable version yt-dlp to fix the AV1 problem. I don't understand why you guys have such an aversion to using the latest stable versions of the component programs that you use in StreamFab. I personally manually change out 7 components to their latest stable version with every new StreamFab update. If I can do it, why can't you? It's strange that you don't do this, especially with yt-dlp updates because you always seem to like to take credit for adding or fixing non-DRM websites when you do update to the latest stable version. It appears in the changelog (see below) and emails are sent out telling how hard you worked adding new sites to SF when in fact the yt-dlp developers did all the work.

    Problem still exists on 6192.

    On the support channel, Rain is giving me the standard response of deleting cache and log folders.
    @Mona @Wilson.Wang can we get someone to update the YT to properly download AV1 again?

    Thanks for confirming. After using Open Video Downloader for awhile, i am not sure what to do. It downloads updates any time there is one. Only thing it doesn't really do is add a cover.jpg.
