Thanks Germania for the post. That really helped. After continuing to get error 702 with a bunch of titles I looked through the error logs and found that the remux fails due to a subtitle error. Almost all 702 errors that I received could be resolved by unchecking all of the subtitle options when downloading (some still persist, but it fixed most of the issues).

I have gotten into the habit of keeping an eye on the size of the StreamFab.log.
... e.g. the test of Fraggles.s02e01 made the log (for only one file) grow to 5 MB,
so I aborted because that can't be anything.

If you see a “green video”, you don't need to test that title in >SD
because SF doesn't seem to have a valid key for decryting in >SD.

For many movies >SD is not offered to me if the key for decrypting for >SD is not known.
Why this check is not error-free for all movies is beyond my knowledge and understanding.

When selecting series, presumably only the first episode is used to select the available resolutions.
However, this does not mean that the >SD keys for subsequent episodes are also available.

I've been testing out the AppleTV+ module on 6.1.9.5 and I've been unimpressed. I've had Error 301, 702, "check your network", and green video upon completion for the various titles I've tried. Sometimes when I retry the issues resolve themselves and I'm able to actually download something in the selected format (e.g. Monarch Legacy of Monsters downloaded all episodes at 4K HDR10+ after multiple retries) while others consistently give me the same error every time (e.g. The Year Earth Changed fails with error 702 when attempting 4K HDR10+, 4K DV, and 4K SDR with either Atmos or EAC3 audio). I've also had some TV series where I finally get episode 1 to work with a specific format and all other episodes in the season fail (e.g. For All Mankind I failed to get any 4K options to work, however I got episode 1 to download at 1080p h265 only to have the rest of the episodes fail with the 1080p h265 setting).

So is everyone else able to just queue these up without issue and just have them work? I'm trying to figure out if the listed resolutions that SF provides are actually available or if they might be and I need to try each episode to see if it fails or not. Are you all loading up the queue with multiple series/movies/seasons all at once and having everything succeed?

I think my biggest frustration with these errors is that some of them will only occur after the entire item is downloaded, meaning you need to wait until the entire 4K stream is downloaded before it tells you it failed.

Is all of this normal behavior everyone is experiencing? To install this I uninstalled previous version (6.1.9.1) deleted the temp directory, deleted the %appdata% directories, removed configuration, rebooted, installed the latest version and set up directories, rebooted, logged into AppleTV+, closed SF, opened SF, signed into AppleTV+ again because it logged me out, closed SF, opened SF, opened the AppleTV+ module, and began analyzing shows for download. I've only been selecting combinations with a listed bitrate (i.e. I'm not selecting any "if available" options).

    The Instigators => see #48 - #50

Fancy Dance was encoded by Apple on 2024-08-08 03:55:29 UTC
and in the last 2 weeks apparently no key for >SD was known and deposited at SF

Update. Version 6.1.9.5 resolved the issues with these 2 Apple+ episodes and i was able to grab them at 2160P like the rest of the series.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

I just uninstalled again with also wiping out configurations. Then I deleted folder as well. Reinstalled and seems to be working now. So far still not seeing any improvement in videos downloading in better quality though. Everything I have tried so far still only downloads in 480p from Apple. Not really worth it at that quality.
I had the same problem and complete uninstall and removal of settings and cache resolved.

    Correct it use MediaInfo.dll v24.6

A Kid (Key ID) contains a globally unique identifier (GUID) that
the client uses to ask the Server for a corresponding Key to decrypt

In simple terms, this is sent to the license server to request the appropriate key for decrypt.
With Apple, however, the clients only receive a key for SD and another key for audio.
SF therefore compares whether the appropriate key for >SD is stored in its database to enable dl >SD

Ergo: 3 different Keys - 1x Video SD, 1x Video >SD, 1x Audio (by Apple, other Provider use 1-5)
And after re-encoding by Apple a new Kid is generated and therefore a new Key to decrypt required.

Apple apparently does not use random KIDs but consecutive ones ..
.. the larger the number, the newer the file

That appears to be giving the same stats as the stand alone MediaInfo app.

I was missing the reference to in the logs (StreamFab logs).

I don't know enough of about how SF downloads from AppleTV+ and I'm curious.

In my logs, I see mention of kid(00000000328d49596331202020202020) as well as kid(00000000355f86656335202020202020), kid(00000000328d49596335202020202020), and several others., as well as kid() for my downloads over the past few days and today. I'm assuming the kid() in the section where the resolutions and codecs are listed is why it can't download some of these resolutions?

The new Kid start with 00000000358
the new Kid from audio encoded Aug 14 in #24 start with 00000000357

I see in untouched audio from "The Instigators" Encoded date: 2024-08-16

What did you use to create that screen shot?

I'm curious, because MediaInfo shows the Encode date matching the File Created date from Windows. (Eastern is UTC-4, so 11:36am ET is 15:36 UTC)

So it looks like in my case, the Encoded Date from MediaInfo is the remux being done via MKVMerge.
