Amazon Issues downloading from non-US Amazon (Prime)

    Hello,

I am having issues downloading contends from, as far as I can tell, any Amazon that is not Amazon.com. This effects Amazon Prime and bought/rented media from Amazon (that's all I tested).

What happens is that when I am starting the download, Streamfab opens up Amazon.com to download from there. As the contend is not available on Amazon.com but my regional Amazon only the download fails.

In my settings, I did set "Amazon Prime Video Region" to my local Amazon. If I click on the Amazon icon in the "Home" or "VIP Services" menu, my regional Amazon does open up. When I then start my download, the page redirects to Amazon.com.

"Clear History" with "cookies and other site data" selected does not help.

I am using a VPN, I am able to play the episodes on Amazon with the VPN enabled.

I am running version 1.9.9, although this issue has also existed with the last version.

I'd be really thankful if someone could help me.

    Greetings
    Wippi

Where are you located? What country? https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/softwa...eamfab-section

The Amazon tag I selected is correct. I am located in the US, trying to download from Amazon Germany and Japan. As mentioned before, my VPN (NordVPN) should work flawlessly.

Make sure you connect to the VPN before opening StreamFab.

VPN before (like jpp72 wrote) and set this country to your Amazon Region and close/restart SF

I need it too, if I use vpn to dl from freevee US or UK

I can confirm that this issue persists if I connect to the VPN before opening StreamFab, as I always do so anyways (and I did just doublecheck right now). However, when I went through the process of closing StreamFab, reconnecting to the VPN, and then opening up StreamFab again, it did just download one episode. Doing that a second time didn't work however.

If you-all are implying that the log-files are missing, I can't get them postet here at the moment. My hope was to get this resolved without them. Otherwise I will get a hand on them later today. Also, reposting all the text from the other thread was imo not really necessary, a line of what was missing would have been much more useful tbh.

Edit (I didn't see Germania's post before posting this): Setting "Amazon Prime Video Region" to Japan when trying to download from Amazon.co.jp doesn't work if that is what you mean.

              Other (known/detected) vpn server?

FYI: StreamFab & VPN with Amazon

I do have a Japanese Prime account (technically a free trial), I should have clarified that, apologies.

I can't tell which servers I have previously been connected to, but I just did 5 attempts trying to replicate this while connected to different servers, non of them were successful.

I did quit the last download before it officially failed.

                  Code:
[Info]: [DRM Settings]: Amazon Region: "JP (amazon.co.jp)"
[Info]: [Setup Website]: Website Type: "Amazon" , Url: "https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/storefront"
[Info]: "[Amazon]" amazon, address change, url is : https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/storefront
Somehow it doesn't fit together ..

Perhaps your amazon.com cookie may be recognized ...
... .. is not possible for me, as I use different temp folder for different countries

Try (with SF closed) to rename your temp folder (Temp_us) and have a new one (for jp) auto created ..
.. of course you will then have to log in again

I've no amazon account in JP - but changed my amazon region + vpn country to JP ..
                    and renamed my temp:

                    Code:
[DRM Settings]: Amazon Region: "JP (amazon.co.jp)"
[Info]: [Setup Website]: Website Type: "Amazon" , Url: "https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/video/storefront"
[Info]: "[Amazon]" amazon, address change, url is : https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/video/storefront

This is a great tip. Unfortunately, this only works for one episode and then it starts redirecting again, just like at #6. The only difference is that this one seems to be consistent, so every time I delete/rename the folder it lets me download one episode.

Here is an updated log: https://ctxt.io/2/AAA453NpEQ
Do note: One download went through, I canceled the second one before it officially failed (this was already my 4th try).

I am starting to fear that this might be an issue with my VPN provider. Is there a VPN that is known to work for cases like this? As mentioned earlier, I am currently using NordVPN.

My main-page after my first download btw. looks like this. Don't mind StreamFab analyzing, that just happened when I opened Snipping Tool to take the screenshot for some reason.

As mentioned before I have "Amazon Prime Video Region" already set to Amazon.co.jp and I am already owning a Prime account for that region.

Okay, I don't know how and why, but for some reason the issue was linked to the series I was trying to download or the way it was in my download queue. After deleting the series from the download queue and reanalyzing it, it just downloads flawlessly, even with the same download settings applied. Apologies for the trouble, and thank you to everyone that was trying to help, especially Germania.
