YouTube Login does not work, no 4K/8K download

First time I ever tried youtube on SF, but I can't seem to log in. I tried doing what the SF popup suggests: login to youtube in chrome browers, close the browers and select "already done" in SF. Doesn't seem to work.

And also, the video I want to download is available in 4K, but I can't download it in 4K in SF.

    Any ideas?

As with every other streaming service - there is a difference between streaming and downloading. Just because a 4K stream is available, does not mean a 4K download is.

I am still logged into YouTube via SF after doing what I did (here).
Some steps may need to be modified, depending on the user's system and browsers used.
As for 4K that usually, if available, comes with a YouTube Premium account.
1080p is usually very good and even 720p which I get many times is good even on a 1080p tv.
If it's a specific movie, then use justwatch or other means to find the movie somewhere else in, at least, 1080p or 4k.
I still am so behind with a 1080p TV and most files I have are in max 1080p, some are in 4k, and 1080p is most some providers, even pay providers, provide unless you can spend a fortune.
And then even if some providers do have 4k SF has trouble, at times, getting the 4k.

You can still keep contacting SF support, maybe one day they will come up with a fully working solution at all times for YouTube.
Sadly I can predict the response saying either clear out temp and log files or some other thing similar or to use the latest version of SF or the event has been recorded and wait for a fix.
But it is easy to report using the feedback option in SF, which note will also send all logs to them automatically, and then you can monitor the 'progress' in the member's center

        SF feedback option:

What a waste of time, streamfab so-called support.

Just "up" graded to latest version. Now Youtube never finishes analysing. When we will we ever get a new version that doesn't mess up something that worked perviously? Tiresome

Same way I always do. The "Live Update" option appeared although for the last few weeks I've had problems with that. The new version downloads completely then the Install simply says FAILED. It seems that in their wisdom Streamfab have now ensured its not even possible to use old versions that actually did work.

do a clean install and try again...

You've been here a long time, you should know that the updater only causes problems...

Thanks for reminding me about that. It's a bit tedious having to do it and it doesn't always need it but this time it solved the problem. Cheers
