Is the issue I am seeing with Hulu h265 directly related to individual analysis? It might be seeing a pre-roll stream or something and therefore analyzing that?

The issue here is that the developers do not have the experience to solve the problems in this specific program. That's where AnyStream excelled. May it rest in peace. Their forum admin and their developer worked together on important issues and only added things when the other programs were working correctly. I am not sure the developers here can fix the issues, or else I am sure they would have.

Aka so we're basically screwed then once the DRM gets updated again. Is that what you're saying?

I can confirm that episodes started with SF 6196/7 are no longer analyzed ..
.. but I can still turn them into a movie to determine the bitrate/audio/length

Then please read first (!) before you make false claims.
Your “no longer works” does not match the quoted text!

- To analyze episode as movie:
Where the s02e01 pic from? - dl the episode in H265 and check the bitrate.
You have to start the episode beforehand in the same way as before with 6196/7.

- To see time instead airdate:
checked and confirmed with 6201

It's just a shame that you have to download each episode individually ..
.. but it's helpful to "just" get the information about a single episode
(multiple selections can then be made without the trick - if resolution/sound is same)

I actually think it's worse than that. Not only the developers aren't power users, they are not users at all.

They program stuff but they don't personally use the tool to download stuff they want so they cannot catch the bugs. They cannot understand the usability issues cause they don't use it on a daily basis like we do.

This is why I was pushing for open beta testing some time back. However, if SF is to implement open beta testing they will have to do something they have zero experience in, something completely alien to them.

Listen and act on what they're told.
