    StreamFab 6.2.0.7

Yet another release with new modules again and still not fixing other problems. What is wrong with this company?! I understand about wanting to make money but come on now. How about fixing the other modules first that don't work properly. Example 1 - Netflix Login issues and sony movies Example 2 - MAX with a lot of the movies there can only downloaded in 720p and not 1080p. I understand the encryption is harder to crack for the sony movies but are they even trying to work on it? This just just aggrevating.

    I can't detect any new modules ..
.. if you mean the "Added support to download videos from"
There was no further development in SF - that's only an updated version of yt-dlp

SF should dl a resolution that is not offered by NF ?
You must show me the magic trick - it's impossible

or crack the worldwide never before cracked PlayReady (was only cracked for max. SD)

Yes, I meant the added support to downloadvideos from. Regarding the sony movies, there's no way all of those sony movies are only available in 540p. They're definitely at least 720p if not 1080p. There's websites out there that have some released in 1080p. So yes, other resolutions are available. As far the playready being cracked, I get what you're saying but I have a feeling another certain software probably could've cracked it if they were still around considering how good they were but we'll never know.

        > there's no way all of those sony movies are only available in 540p.

Play in Chrome (or Firefox) press ctrl+alt+shift+d
and you will see there is only 540p - see also here

        > There's websites out there that have some released in 1080p

If one user of a scene group can do it (presumably with Android L1),
this does not mean that you can pass this functionality on
to thousands of users without it being disabled (L1 locked).

        > So yes, other resolutions are available

I never doubted that, it will certainly be better received in a TV app for example.

Didn't that other company only purchased the keys, not cracked it themselves?

I don't know what it was like before 2024 - only used the trial before Jan ..
.. but from January they have rented a PlayReady API to offer at least 540p for NF/PV
            see also here or here

For better resolutions you had to wait 1-2 days after release ..
.. until the key was added to the AS database (like MAX 1080p with SF)

FYI: When FHD was still possible with AS, they had the same problem:
if the movie/show is distributed by Sony or Universal,
            540p is the best AnyStream can do at the moment. {source}

It is 540p because Sony and NF have a contract agreement (probably initiated by Sony) to limit the display to 540p. Of course, there are movie versions with higher resolution out there. If you are a streamer and are willing to pay the price to Sony for a higher resolution version, then there it is. I'm not personally aware of any streamer that has Sony movies at higher than 540p. There might be, but I'm not much of a movie person. Sony would prefer to make available On Demand movies (available up to 4k) using their own system, Sony Pictures Core, using their own hardware such as PlayStation and Sony TVs. It is purely a business issue. Sony wants their movies to look best on their hardware (and, where still available, on Sony optical disks).

Only two examples - both only 540p at Netflix (in Chrome/Firefox)

Thank you for clearing that up for me and others. Now I understand it more and better.

and you will see there is only 540p

Germania - Thank you for showing me how to do that. Much appreciated.
