Apple TV+ AppleTV+ Everything is SD, not everything works.

I am using the latest version and I'm having an issue where pretty much every single thing I pick to get from AppleTV, the analyzer returns it in SD. There are sometimes the analyzer runs, and then it just disappears without any download option ever showing up and I cant get it at all. There's 2 movies I want in particular and yet the analyzer just disappears after running.

Out of the 50+ movies and couple TV shows I analyzed, only 2 of them returned as 1080p capable. Somethings not right.

I have tried re-installation and deleting temp folder but it's not a working solution.

Nobody ever said that all or more than half of AppleTV content can download better than SD.
It's only possible if Key for >SD is known and stored in SF database.
This mostly affect older popular title.

So I see no reason to assume that there is anything wrong.

They exist on the service and I found them via recommendations when looking at other things, but I noticed when I search for them in the actual search bar, they don't show up. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Both titles are only to rent - not to stream with AppleTV+

Only movies or series with info stream at ATV+ instead buy/rent at ATV
listed at JustWatch are possible - see also here

You can't dl Titles that at Apple site listed with "Watch on Apple TV" - this require iTunes.

So basically like 80% of AppleTV+ can only be grabbed in SD, and I'm stuck with 480p from that service for most things.
I guess I will have to deal with that just like I have been dealing with only being able to get 720p from Disney+ and the older HBO Max (I haven't bothered with new MAX).

Thanks for looking into the two that would not work at all.

Bringing an example, ATV+ seems to offer different video quality during a popular show's season in legit browsers like Edge or Firefox (not to say that some content, as previous posters confirm, is in SD only). Some episodes are available in good quality (possibly HD, maybe better), but most are SD and it's distinguishable by eye. I'd rather ask the provider to unify the experience across multiple devices, not enforcing people to use their products - otherwise what is the warranty that I have Full HD or UHD on anything at all?
