Feature Request - Convert Windows License to Mac or reverse

I have 3 unused Windows StreamFab licenses and have added a Mac to the house. From emailing DVDFab support, I learned that Windows licenses cannot be converted to Mac and purchasing a whole new license is required.

As a feature request, I'd ideally like Streamfab licenses able to be used by either Windows or Mac machines or the ability to convert from Windows to Mac for a small fee rather than requiring a whole new license.

Mac people only get updates weeks later.

About 3 months ago Wilson Wang helped someone switch their Mac license changed to Windows license. You might try sending Wilson Wang a PM and asking. Evidently the folks Streamfab told him no but Wilson apparently made it happen so it might be worth a shot.

I’d agree if I was going Mac only. My use case will be to do my big monthly downloads on a dedicated windows box but have the ability to do occasional downloads on my everyday Mac.

That’s why I’m hoping to split my four windows licenses to two windows and two Mac.

When you bought your Windows license, they offered 4 licenses as a "come on" with them thinking that extremely few users would use the 4 licenses at one time. In effect, in most cases they would be out nothing moneywise. They might as well given you 100 licenses, as it would have had the same effect. What you are asking for is to be given for free a $270 program that sometimes works like the program you already bought. They are not the same program, and some developer has to write and maintain this separate program. You bought a Windows license and not a Windows/Mac license. @Wilson.Wang never should have exchanged a Mac program for a Windows program. He is doing his company a disservice. Not only that, he is doing a disservice to the rest of the users here that risked their money early on and got one license before the marketing dept. came up with the 4 license (now 5 license) "come on". I am dead set against any license swapping. You bought what was offered (4 Windows licenses). All sales final.

IMO they should not give you both Windows AND Mac licenses. Choice when buying is Windows or Mac (or Android IIRC). No option to buy a combination was/is available.

I know I would not bother. The MAC version of streamfab is not worth the trouble from what you can read in the forums.
Updates are always way behind.
I never had a Mac, never easily found a way to do a VM of the operating system, and I guess since I started with mainstream PCs, IBM compatible was the thing.
I worked in several places as well, and Windows PC was the bulk of the PCs the workplaces had. Yes, you would find a department or a few users somewhere in the work pace that used Mac, but most part it was Windows PC. Things someday still may change as many users have had it with Windows 11, some going back to Windows 10, no matter the cost, and some switching to the many Linux types of operating systems like Ubuntu, etc. Add Wine, and they can run Windows software, although it may be limited.
There is always something new on the horizon, but I find Windows has a huge selection of software, and even Ubuntu has a good amount, it seemed Mac software was not only limited but in most cases most expensive.
