    ITVX ITVX Premium Issue 6.2.1.0

    Hello,

    I've had an ongoing issue with ITVX where it won't download more than 1 or 2 episodes before the website "crashes" and I have to reload StreamFab/reset my VPN to a different server.

    Even so, I took a gamble recently and subscribed to their Premium catalogue as there was an offer but I usually can't get more than 1 episode at a time without the StreamFab browser switching from the programme I'm trying to download to the My Account screen and then regularly refreshing that page or logging me out of the ITVX website, until I close the browser window.

    I submitted a support ticket about this about 2 weeks ago but I'm not expecting it to be looked at for a while, as it I'm assuming it's quite a low-used module, so I thought I'd post a log here, just in case someone spots something that I could do to improve things before my subscription ends.

    I've just tried to download episode 13.03 of Grange Hill and again it just went to the My Account screen.

      Thanks Germania for a swift reply as always. I guess that means that there's nothing for me to do but wait and hope. I'll keep an eye on that page and see if anything changes, as the module has always been temperamental for me (although I don't use it very often).

        sounds good

        I think with VPN the download of 1-2 episodes takes so long that the token has expired (info)

        But I can't test "Grange Hill" because I've no Premium account​

        edit: I tried looney tunes cartoons s02 and it's detected as movie - like here

          Thanks Germania. I did try it without VPN a week or so ago and it lasted 3-4 episodes but then I tried it a day or two later and it didn't work at all. Then a few days ago I suddenly got 5 episodes in a row using the VPN.

          Most days I manage to get 1 episode at the start of the day and then another at the end of the day but it often doesn't work at all which is why I thought it was worth starting a thread here in case someone else had ever had any consistent success with the using the ITVX module and a Premium account.

          I suppose I'm hoping one day that it will be similar to the Amazon module and not need so much patience but the signs don't look good (especially after reading the thread you linked to).

            I'm an itvX Premium user living in the UK and Grange Hill S13 E03 downloaded OK albeit slow as usual.

              I am in the UK and subscribed to itvX Premium and can confirm this happens to me too. Its a nightmare. I am also having issues that i'm hoping will be addressed soon.

                I'm in the UK and while the best we ever get is 720 Grange Hill downloads fine

                  Thanks everyone for their responses. phelings I've tried it again without using a VPN since I've read your message and managed to get 5 episodes in a row before it did the "flick from the Grange Hill page to the My Account screen, sign me out and then just keep refreshing the screen" thing.

                  Are you able to download whole series at a time without this kind of issue and can you think of anything else I can try to get it to work for me?

                    It's been a while since I downloaded Grange Hill but when I did it was a series at a time. If you're outside the UK I would say a VPN is essential

                      Went to download from ITVX and the only option was one episode in MPD mode. So I opened ITVX on the normal browser. Copied the address and as usual SF then asked me if I wanted to download from the link and at this point it worked properly and offered a complete series download. Try that but as I said above , if you not in the UK I would say a VPN is essential

                        Thanks phelings. I've had a bit more success since I last posted but I also have days where I can only get 1 episode to download before it does the "flick to the account screen/log me out" error I mentioned above.

                        I'm definitely having more success without using the VPN and sometimes manage to get 4 or 5 episodes in a row before the error occurs.

                        I've also noticed that if I get the error, pause all downloads, close the ITVX browser window and then go back into the ITVX app, it then analyses the TV series that is on the front page of ITVX (currently Vera). If I wait for it to finish analysing, close the analysis window and then start my ITVX queue again, it seems to work for more episodes in a row before I get the error again (although I might just be fooling myself with what feels a bit like a superstition).

                        I can see above that north_east21 mentioned they were having the same error, so if you get chance and you haven't already, could you open a ticket about the issue via the Get Support button in the Member Center. Assuming there isn't an update in this week's release, I'm going to send another log to the support in the hope that the more reports they get about the error, the more chance we have of them trying to figure out a fix.
