Hulu H265 on Hulu - status as of today

My previous thread awhile back, someone decided to select an answer as the "solution" to the problem, essentially closing the thread. Even though that selected answer was not really the "solution."

As of version 6212 here are still issues that would be nice to get remedied.

    1) Some plans switch your account to a different manifest, causing h265 to be all but inaccessible, meaning that 4K is also out of the question. The random h265 options that do pop up are of the lowest bitrates offered, so it's not really 'working'. Switching your account back to a plan that should give you access to h265 the way it used to be does not give you the desired results. The manifest is there, just not properly read by SF.

    2) Even on a plan that serves up what SF is used to seeing, you need to check your h264/h265 toggle. I want h265 whenever possible, and for some reason the download window has preselected h264 again, causing me to have to toggle h265 again.

    3) Random forever analysis failures --- If you load your modules in a particular order, or if the moon is in a certain phase, or if solar activity is at a 6.3 or higher, sometimes when you go into a TV show or movie, you will never get past the analyzing window. TV shows will be stuck on season 0, movies will be simply stuck on analyzing. In my case, if Hulu is not the first module opened after the Home tab, I can usually get this issue. So if I visited Prime first then loaded Hulu after that, it would likely be broken. You then have to click Cancel, close SF entirely, wait at least 30 seconds before reloading the program, then make sure Hulu is loaded first. I did mention moon and sun stages too -- sometimes (but not often) you do everything right and still get the failure, causing you to have to restart the program.

Thanks for bringing this back to the top. Bundle plans are still not working.

Didn't you send a message to Wilson.Wang on how to read the manifest?

That wasn't me. I could, but I have plenty of other jobs that actually pay me.

The bundle plan is not the problem. It's WHICH bundle plan. I have Hulu+Disney+ESPN w/Ads and it works just fine

I would not care to experiment by also adding ESPN -- I suspect that when you switch to a particular plan that your account is forever changed. At one point Hulu ad-free worked fine. Switched to Disney+ Duo bundle, broken. Switched back to Hulu ad-free, broken. Difference in price between Hulu ad-free and Duo ad-free is $1.
