    YouTube Error 403 downloading videos

Updated to 6214, and it could be coincidental, but am getting Error 403 Forbidden on some music video downloads. I am successful with them on the freeware program, Open Video Downloader and they do play back correctly in the built in browser. I have not downloaded any YT videos in at least a week so it's possible there is new YT code needed.

Methinks SF needs to update its YT code already.

Here is a sample video of one that errors out.

Sorry, didn't see that, thus the new thread.
It is random, with most titles failing of course.

I just installed the new version (6.2.1.6) and after the downloading step, it fails on processing.

Maybe try 6217, also others will suggest uninstalling and downloading the offline installer, which may help. The last thing is to clear the cache and logs.
See default locations or if you use your own locations, go into SF and check in settings.

I only did one YouTube video and had no issues. Also, if it continues, include the video link and perhaps an SF log.
ALTHOUGH now I look and no subtitles in the download and the video has subtitles AKA closed captions.
            I am rechecking my settings.

Checked and re-checked subtitles selected but not remuxing into the video.
I might try the extract to SRT option, but really don't like that option.

ADDED tried the extract to SRT option, NO srt file saved. Useless.
Noted several errors: curl post: Couldn't resolve host name. so might be SF can't find subtitles even though they ARE there.

Usual locations for temp, and cache files. Windows Streamfab.
            %HOMEPATH%/Documents/DVDFab/StreamFab/Temp

I was using microsoft edge as my browser. Just now, I decided to try using chrome instead, and copied the same youtube video url. This time, Streamfab successfully downloaded the video. So there must be something to using chrome that enabled a successful streamfab download. I hope this info is helpful.

Edge and Chrome have the same core...are twins

The system browser in Windows has nothing to do with Streamfab!
NEVER use the update function within Streamfab. Always download the offline file!

That is what I thought too but copying the youtube url via chrome enabled a successful streamfab download. I tried at least 5 times with edge and failed each time.

Whatever works is fine with me. Can't argue with success.
