    Disney+ Which Plan?

I guess the angle of this post is directly related to this post: https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/stream...us-as-of-today
In Hulu, if you happen to not have the magic plan, you almost never get 4K, many times not even h265. This is due to SF not fully analyzing the manifest sent to you if you have a plan such as a Duo plan. Even if you switch away from the Duo plan and back to one of the supported plans, your account is apparently forever modded to the newer manifest. Maybe someday soon they (SF) can fix this.
Let's compare notes here and see if there is a difference in plans.
    Accessing via a Duo plan...
So far, downloaded one single video in 1080p that wasn't available 1080p before. It was a slightly older documentary movie so all I got was h264, which is probably accurate. I will report back when I have more to report. I toggled to h265 in the download dialog but it still downloaded h264.

Anyone else? What plans have you got and what sort of content have you gotten?

Could someone verify what's available for "The Wonderful World of Disney Presents The Little Mermaid Live!" -- all I am seeing is 720p. That is a 2019 feature that should be 1080 (?)
The landing page says "HD" but that really could mean 720. All I can find in the scene is 720.

Please provide the name of the documentary so we can test.

Unfortunately, i am having issues with US my payment method and have lost access to my Trio Basic.

So i decided to sub to Disney+ only but in Canada (Home country).

I currently have 345 items in my queue but so far, no issues. Downloads fast, i get 1080p H265, and videos play correctly

I also have confirmed that Disney+ is like Netflix. Your account works in most "jurisdictions" and you have access to different content based on where you are connecting from.

Since i don't download 4k, i will probably not reactivate my Hulu Trio Basic. I got everything i needed from ESPN and Disney+ has Hulu content in the US and even more Hulu content in Canada but it's under the "Star" brand.

Add to that, i am paying in $CAD (which is weak against the US right now) and i don't have monthly fees and loading fees like for the US payment method and it becomes a no brainer for me.

I gotta say kudos to Wilson.Wang and the developer for implementing this. Thanks a ton!

Now if you could just get H265 for Peacock and increase Amazon to 200 tokens per day, i promise i will stop being pissed off!

I would second that as something reasonable, the reason being that Amazon became an 'umbrella' for all the other streaming providers. In my country (Poland) this is sometimes the only way to get SkyShowtime contents - and for a lot of other countries it would also be at least Max.

Both SkyShowtime and Max are often problematic for SF (def more so than Amazon), so having more tokens on Amazon would greatly compensate for that.

I seldom download Movies. I download whole Series. Any standalone provider that is also available on Amazon, i prefer subbing through Amazon.

                I sub to:
                • Paramount+
                • AppleTV+
                • Starz
                • AMC+
                • Hayu
                • CrunchyRoll
                • MGM+
                • Max
                • Discovery+
                • AllBLK
                • STACKTV
                • CityTV+
Considering that each standalone one has 100 per day, 200 for Amazon isn't that crazy. I routinely use up all 100 slots on Amazon by upgrading shows i already have to H265 with proper subs in languages i want. I have never been blocked by Amazon but i have been blocked by Disney+. So for Disney, i usually download max 75 episodes per day. Like i said in another thread, i have 345 items queued for Disney+ and that's just a few Marvel and Star Wars TV Shows. Just Daredevil and Jessica Jones took up 78 slots.

Also, i doubt Amazon has the same analytics as Disney+ since on Amazon, you can rent something, download it and get a refund because it doesn't show as watched. Not that i condone that but it has happened before where a provider didn't upload an episode and i bought the single episode, only to have the provider finally upload it for my subscription and i got a refund for the paid episode.

And finally, people who don't need 200 can just not use that but shouldn't "shame" people who do. Some people collect stamps, i collect digital media. I have ~400TB of stuff and love not having to buy extra hard drives as often. I let Sonarr download my TV Shows automatically and once a season is over, i download them with StreamFab and replace the files. Usually saves me between 40% and 70% in space.

Here's an example of a few Disney+ shows i need to update. Anything that doesn't have ONLY StreamFab DSNP as the "Release Group", i will download with StreamFab.

Meanwhile, all my AppleTV+ shows were downloaded with StreamFab except for last night's episodes of Silo and Severance and a couple of episodes of Bad Sisters:

Do we all get the same defaults on downloads? Even though h265 is in the settings, h264 comes up, as does eac audio. Would Atmos come up on something that has it or do I have to toggle over? If I toggle over, eac is the next setting down so I presume that the fallback is that.

Do you have the basic plan with ads or without?
At this point I am replacing anything I had as only 720p with 1080 that I have not already done so via the scene. The scene actually had the previous Goosebumps series with 4K Dolby Vision so it's pointless to try that one.

Two to try to see what specs are--- they are 1080 h264 on this end. (and thanks for verifying Little Mermaid Live).

yep, is everywhere (also outside North America) only H264 “HD Ready” ..
.. but where else can you get a bit rate > 5Mb/s with 720p ?

I watch on 4 TVs at the same time at double speed.-)...

                      Why backfire?

The streaming providers don't see what we download. I recently received an email from Joyn and RTL+, in which they list what I watched. In the emails, they didn't mention a single video that I downloaded. Only things that were streamed directly on the Smart TV.

Well, as Jack also says, if you subscribe to channels for a short period of time, you want to download as much as possible in that time. I now also have a channel for a month. There are a few series on it. The largest has 25 seasons with 40 episodes per year.

Now we have Disney in 1080p, which may not work for very long, but regardless, I'm not going to sign up for 12 months of Disney. I take a month, download what I want, and disappear again.

Also, it's unfair that Max and Hulu have 200. It's all or none!

I haven't counted my terabytes yet, but I'm getting pretty close. Do you have a backup of everything?

No. I have backups of movies i would hate to lose and TV Shows i know i will eventually rewatch. Everything else is a "oh well, hopefully it's still available somewhere if a drive dies."

Also, there is a huge chunk of stuff i will NEVER watch but it was downloaded and put on my Plex servers for my friends and family. That's 53 people.
