It does work with the MPD downloader but only does not get the subtitles.

I think the VIP Service Canal+ is only supported in France.
All other countries only supported by DRM MPD Downloader.

For your subtitle problem:

Untested (no subscription) - for subs only try this => here

change lang=en to nl (or whatever) in N_m3u8DL-RE command line

Thanks for the tip, because of this is found out that there is no need for any toll so get the .VTT subs.
you are able to download them right out of the devtools as the subs are not in de .MPD but outside.
