Fandango at Home 6.2.1.6 Fandango at Home fails to Analyze

    Wilson.Wang
    StreamFab Windows 6.2.1.6
    Location USA

Using the new Fandango at Home module, everything fails to analyze. When I go to My Movies, then select a movie I own, I get the popup saying "analyzing" which dissapears, and I have "Analyzing Failed" in the lower right

Using the refresh button, or trying other movies results in the same.

I've tried several titles that I own, and have even tried some "free to view", and all fail the same way.

    Log attached.

This may be unrelated but looking at the LOG it appears that Fab is looking for /_platform_specific/win_x64/widevinecdm.dll under the Appdata\Local\CEF path and not being able to copy to the Temp/Cache/WidevineCDM paths.

    Its looking for: C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\CEF\User Data\WidevineCdm\4.10.1610.0\_platform_specific\wi n_x64\widevinecdm.dll

But what that doesn't exist, its really :\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\CEF\User Data\WidevineCdm\4.10.1610.0\widevinecdm.dll

Its also looking for _platform_specific\win_x64\ under each version in the TEMP/CACHE folder, but they too don't exist.

Manually creating those paths, and copying the DLLs doesn't help. While it resolves the errors in the log on StreamFab start, it doesn't fix Fandango At Home's analyze problem.

I can't test your three movies (need to rent) ..
.. but analyzing a free movie works for me after ad

Ignore the widevine messages - outdated widevine are useless

In your log I noticed invalidSessionKey
        Code:
        [Critical]: slotRecvTextMsg msg : "_type=lightDeviceLoginResult&errorDescription=Invalid+or+expired+sessionKey&status=invalidSessionKey" m_requestType : 1

btw: I can't move the selection dialog popup

It tries to reproduce the content, only this way it performed the analysis and I was able to perform the download in some tests I did.

If you are using Google Translate, try using DeepL instead because the "It tries to reproduce the content" doesn't make sense, to me anyway.

I tried logging out of Fandango and back in, still fails to analyze.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of that error?

Doesn't work for me Germania. Nothing does. This is as bad as Record Fab.

Okay. here is something. If I do NOT use the new Fandango app and just browse to www.vudu.com, login and pick the same movie and let it use MPD it works.

No sorry, I don't know why it works for me ..
.. perhaps because I never rented anything.

I tried using the trial 3 downloads. I was able to analyze a (free) video (I hit the analyze button after starting the video), but nothing happens after that. It goes to the MPD download queue and sits there waiting to download. The Downloading icon says it's downloading, but the it's doing nothing in the queue. It doesn't work at all with any of my paid videos.

Also, once I tried to cancel the download (hit the x or close that tab), it reopens the tab and continues to download... infinitely... I continue to try to close it, and the tab reopens ad infinitum...

Did you got to Fandango using the new Fandango at Home download module? Or did you put the URL in the address bar, and thus trigger the DRM MPD downloader?

I logged in using the Fandango button on the VIP screen. I was able to rent and download three movies as well as one that I had purchased last year. I purchase them through FireFox and then for downloading, I login with SF. There is a short analysis period, like for Amazon, and then the download starts. It works as advertised here for me. I am in the US and not using a VPN.

Going through the module seems to work for me too- and bitrates are actually rather good.
