I don't know, am I the only one that gets a message that says ...

You have X single-device deauthorizations left. Are you sure you want to deauthorize this device?

I get that notice via the member area when trying to deactivate a product, it says the same thing, no matter what the product is.
The whole line of DVDFab products along with the UniFab products.
The only modification was I replaced the amount it says I have left with an X.

ADDED: You know what, maybe it's because of doing it via the member center. Maybe it is different if done via the program(s) (like streamfab itself) or the DVDFab line or the UniFab line of products.
The problem can possibly become an issue if you lose access to your old computer before deactivating via the program.

I had never received (or noticed?) the message until now:

I don't want to be disadvantaged for an error in SF or on the server !!
My MAC has never changed and there is no info about a deauth limit in:
        Terms of License Authorization

But now I've more Authorizations as deauthorizations - WTF

        Wilson.Wang

Is it possible to remove empty MAC Authorization initiated by SF 6221
for all users without decrease count single-device deauthorizations?
Or to increase the counter (at least +1) ?
Otherwise all SF 6221 user must use the ticket system ..

FYI: That's why I not set the topic as answered

This whole "authorisation count" seems a bit of a superfluous nonsense with StreamFab, sure, it made sense in the archaic days when there was no download limit but now with tokens, the only thing that matters is the number of tokens, the "authorisation count" actually creates a backend cargo that serves no purpose other than a maintenance headache...

In DVDFabs infinite wisdom I would not be surprised people were somehow exploiting the deactivating of devices so now limit them. Thus, punishing those who DON'T!!
But now I've more Authorizations as deauthorizations - WTF
And my Authorizations are more than my total deactivations also, so it is weird how they calculated that. :/ :
Notice how quiet Wilson.Wang is? Where else is this stated other than when you try to deactivate? NOT (here).

I have never seen this message, neither in the app nor in the web interface. I contacted support about it but rather than answering my question about the limit of the deauthorizations, tech support just deauthorized my devices. So that was *not* helpful.

Exactly: It's not stated in the terms of license authorizations!

Hi all. I raised a ticket with Support and they gave me a "workaround" until they can come up with a more permanent fix for the problem. When you start StreamFab, (eg. right-click the Streamfab Desktop icon), select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. This worked for me.

Hi guys! I found that the "new authorisation" was a kinda bug... reading on the net, while you have the 6221 verison installed, you have to deactivate it, then uninstall it.
Then go to Streamfab webiste - member login, and deactivate the remaining license.
Then Install the previous working version - for me is 6220 - then re-authorize, and you should get only 1 authorization with correct mac address (the correct one you had before 6221).
                    That's all (well, for me).

                    Have a nice weekend!

The post #16 says "It's fixed on server" - so why a "workaround" ?

In my OP you can read "I deauthorize this blank MAC address in Member Center"
and after I needed new Authorize before post #16 there is a 2nd blank Mac.

If I need them now no more (?) - that's two counted deauthorizations
just to reach my previous status quo - that's not okay.

Please read again the title - it's about SF 6221 ! - so 6220 is no solution

Please read again .. because the deauthorization is limited

Individial de-auth via the remote control panel is limited to five per year (if memory serves me right), "all" de-auth is limited to one per year.

In-program de-auth (as in from StremFab) is seems unlimited, I've been doing auth--deauth dance daily for at least half a year, and nothing "bad" happened on my end... (yup, I've got a weird setup that runs it in a RAM disk)

thx for this info - per year was unknown for me

DVDFab Support just closed my ticket. I just started STREAMFAB 6.2.2.1 in the normal way and it no longer prompts me to authorise it with that blank MAC address. So it looks like they've fixed the bug.

This is what I have been expecting since post #16 ..
.. but it also means that I can't (more) deauthorize the blank Mac with SF 6221 itself.
And in Member Center the counter still counts down for me even though my Mac has never changed.

I have the same issue, in my member center; it shows two of the same MAC addresses, and 2/6 used when I only have one computer.

                              It's the same for me:
There are now 2 identical MAC addresses in the Membercenter (Although I only ever use the SF products on the same computer).
When I try to delete one of these addresses, the message appears that I still have 8/9 processes left.

In my opinion that means, that the error with the empty MAC address was only replaced by a new error with the duplicate MAC address.

The error in the license server is not been corrected correctly, and all those who have tried to correct the “problem” themselves, are now being punished with this counter.
Strangely enough, when I deleted the empty MAC no corresponding message window appeared that a counter exists there. So i think that the most users (including me) never heard of the existence of the counter before.
