StreamFab for Windows Latest upgrade does not support Windows 10 Pro

After installation the update, deleting the same program, and reinstalling from the offline downloader, two dll files are "not found" when StreamFab attempts to start. The files are MSVCP140_1.dll and MSVCP140_2.dll.

I use 6222 without problems with Win 10 Pro !
(like all Versions before - msvcp140.dll is included)

    Try vc_redist.x64 here
if not works (after restart) old version here

edit: Is it possible that you installed the 32-bit version ?

This October, you'll have to switch to Windows 11 anyway since support for your current version will end.

It’s better to switch now and get used to it gradually rather than being forced to do it later and running into issues.

Alternatively, you could pay a lot of money for extended support—but I wouldn’t recommend that.

Windows 10 22H2 Pro (x64): no issue to install and run the latest version of StreamFab (6.2.2.2).

I have got the same message on Win11.

After installing vc_redist.x64, I could start StreamFab (x64) and the update was installed.

Did you also do an (not recommended) online upgrade ?
Than this causes the problem (like different issues before)

Yes, the online upgrade. Had no problems with it so far...

Then you now know why it is not recommended

And once again, the myth that some idiot started...

The problem never was and still isn’t the online updater.
If the connection is stable, then there’s absolutely no issue.

The problems arise when the connection is unstable (bad internet, VPN, etc.).
But that’s not the online updater’s fault.

And why has no one had the problem without an online update?
                Everyone suddenly has unstable Internet?
(If there is no retry if dl fails - it is updater's fault)

I have already solved a lot of problems that occurred after an online update
and never occurred with the offline update - just imagination or what?

You want to download (almost) all 4k ...
.. but 300-400MB more for a secure update is too much?

Not a myth. It has happened to many people. Especially in the early days.

Pay attention to the size reported by the online installer. I have PERSONALLY seen where the online updater says the update is ~75 MB when it should have been ~330 MB.

Please don't insult the people who have been here since the beginning. They experienced it a few times so they went with offline ever since. Just like i have had issues twice with StreamFab's MKVmerge so now i only use FFmpeg in the StreamFab settings.

You talk in bolded absolutes when your account is 6 weeks old. Are you perhaps someone that was banned and has now a new account?

My example was from before they switched to the full Chromium browser

The latest version shouldn't really be a problem as the file sizes are similar. But if you see online update that is less than ~500 MB, i guarantee you will have problems.

I’ve never had even the slightest issue with the online updater.

The offline updater just includes the latest patch,
while the online updater has to download it first.

If someone has internet issues, they’ll have problems with the online updater—
but I have a stable connection and never had any problems.

Whenever I do have issues, it’s always StreamFab itself.
I tested this for several months with two different installations (one using online updates, the other using offline updates).

                      About mkvmerge:

I have no issues with it either.
In fact, it’s even better because it directly shows QuickTime-related problems,
whereas FFmpeg acts like everything is fine—even when audio/video is broken.

                      GG FFmpeg on this one.

you are absolutely right! Use the online updater, it's the internet... and we have peace of mind!
NEVER use the update function within Streamfab. Always download the offline file!
