SF-Windows - Unable to Download from Netflix for Last Several Versions

I have been unable to download anything from Netflix over the last 6 or 7 releases of SteamFab for Windows. All other major streaming services (Prime Video, Paramount, Disney, Hulu, etc.) work perfectly. I have used the "https://netflix.com/clearcookies" hack, clearing all StreamFab temp data, only using the full 64-bit installer for version upgrades, as well as every other service issue resolution suggestion I have researched in this forum.

I know a full uninstall and clean reinstall might resolve this issue but, when I have done this in the past, I get duplicate MAC addresses in the "License" section of my Fab365 account. When I go to delete the duplicate MAC addresses, I get a warning "You only have 1 device deactivation left. Do you wish to proceed?" I had assumed that the Fab365 subscription would be like my Microsoft 365 subscription where I could uninstall/reinstall whenever required on the same device with the same MAC address without penalty. However, it appears DVDFab wants to charge for an add-on 3-device license on top of the subscription charge every third time you need to perform a clean install of one of their products.

Any suggestions on resolving the Netflix issue that I have not tried would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance to whomever takes their time to reply!

Impossible (for me) without any error info ("Unable to Download" is useless)
    or better your StreamFab.log

    Close SF, rename the StreamFab.log
start SF try once and after fails close SF
and attach your StreamFab.log to your post

Germania, Thank you for the reply. You are absolutely right; I had meant to attach a log file. When I get home from work, I will follow your directions and re-post here.

Germania, sorry for the delay. Attached please find the StreamFab log created per your instructions. I have also included a screenshot of a Netflix error screen that sometimes happens when I click on a movie or TV series selection within the Netflix interface. However, please not that most of the time the movie or TV selection simply results in StreamFab endlessly analyzing the URL. I should also mention that, every once in a while, I am able to switch profiles and Netflix will work although most of the time Netflix will log me out of my account before the download can complete.

paste this into streamfabs browser and retry Netflix again - https://netflix.com/clearcookies

Netflix will log me out of my account before the download can complete.

Netflix can't remember your membership status after login ..
[code][Info]: [Batch Download]: show Netflix Trial Dlg
[Critical]: "[Netflix]" LoadAccountData failded ,json empty
        [Warning]: load ac data failed
[Info]: [Netflix]" "GetResourceRequestHandlerFromContextHandler - url :https://logs.netflix.com/log/wwwsw/cl/2
        [Warning]: "[Netflix]" nfid emtpy[/code]
        .. so it's a cookie problem - but clearcookies (alone) don't help.
The problem is in your SF cache - never nf cookie saved or it's corrupt

Close SF and rename your cache - like here
(if not find see SF settings - Temp Directrory, there is subdir cache)

Start SF, login to NF and close the tab, reopen NF and it should works - like here
(new login required for all provider)
If you still have problems, try with a new NF profile

Thank you, October262. As I stated in my original post, I had been using that trick along with all the others I had researched before posting. But I do appreciate your time in replying.

Germania, Thank you! I will try that as soon as I get back home. I will post back and let you know the result. Thank you again for your time in reviewing the log file. I saw those lines but was not sure how to correct the issue.

It may not work for you, but I found that it does for me. When attempting to download from Netflix and it keeps analysing, I open it in my regular browser too. I then click the episode to start that I wish to download and that, for some reason, tends to kick Netflix on SF into downloading

It may not work for you, but ...

                DonnaD

DonnaD, thank you! I have added that information to my "Netflix Issue Fixes" file along with Germania's excellent analysis of the Netflix credential issue.

                6 days later

                Is Netflix down? Long analyzing....

edit: must delete cookie, now working

You can delete cookies for just one provider, no need to rename the cache folder. It is a standard Chrome browser.

But that doesn't help with the problem (it's the same like clearcookies)
                [quote=Germania].. so it's a cookie problem - but clearcookies (alone) don't help.

Downloaded Madam Secretary months ago . Went to view on USB only to find after 20 minutes that video froze and audio continued. Same thing happened after I got round to watching Manifest. Frozen video but usually only for a few seconds although at one point it stayed frozen so I deleted the whole lot and just watched them on Netflix instead.
Started new download of Madam Secretary , one episode fine but episode 2 got stuck on Remuxing 3 times. Finally worked . Copied to USB and went to view while the other 118 downloaded . After an hour returned to find fails from episode 5 onwards. As I sit here having restarted the download its frozen on remuxing again. At one time problems were usually only with lesser services while Amazon and Netflix continued to work and with quick fixes. I can't recall the last time I managed to open Streamfab , download what I wanted and close it again without having to mess about deleting folders or other such stuff.
Youtube movies still won't download purchased films in 1080 despite the selling page saying it won't be long months and months ago. Nowtv didn't work when I purchased the module and took a few weeks to get sorted but of course now I want to use it again it doesn't work again.
ITVX logs you out after 2 or 3 episodes.
Does anything work with this program?

Restarted everything and now Netflix sits on analysing. What a waste of time

Does anything work with this program?

                phelings

Yes, for >200 NF series in AV1 there are two or three with pixel error
every dl at same timestamp - so it's an NF encoding problem (not forced by SF)

                > Restarted everything and now Netflix sits on analysing

Curious, not for my two accounts ..
.. perhaps the NF IPv6 timeout issue (has also nothing todo with SF) - see here

Youtube movies is broken for 48 hours after YT Update - so what?

Nobody is forcing you to use SF or to fill the forum with your eternal whining

You may want to try to uninstall and install SF. As for trouble remuxing you may want to check what drive you have SF save the final files as well as your main drive your temp files go to and the format you select to remux into. (mp4 works most times as well as mkv (ffmpeg) options)
You may also need to exclude SF folders from your antivirus. As for analyzing on Netflix and other providers when SF is first opened, it has issues. You may find you have to close and then open the provider again and analyze works. For Netflix, many still don't get it, you need to click what is shown in the screenshot below and analyze works thereafter, assuming you did close then open Netflix again, and you click the same thing on each movie to analyze.

And as for YouTube, there are ongoing rotating issues that may or may not be able to be fixed right away because one minute things won't download and later the same things will.
I don't get why your YouTube movies don't come in 1080p now. It seems to be an issue with you and YouTube. As we can now even download movies with ads in 1080p from the movies and TV section, although not all can.
Nowtv remains stuck in them trying to fix it, and there is no info on an update to ITVX.

You really do post junk. If you don't have anything useful to say then just STFU. It's really odd that every time someone reports a problem it's always you that pops up saying "everything is ok here".
Clearly it isn't for many other people. As for YouTube movies not working for 4 8 hours What planet are you on.Youtube movies won't download purchased movies in 1080 and never has despite promises .

As for the moronic comment that nobody is forcing me to use SF . Maybe the fact that I've paid for it and for additional modules might have something to do with it.
I've already said to you before that if you have nothing useful to say then don't bother (and your comments are rarely useful) yet you can't resist telling everyone how youre not having problems. Well don/t

Its only purchased movies , not everything with YT.

I've uninstalled SF a few times but it never seems to sort things out. And the Remuxing problem only started today and the first episode was fine then the second screwed up but I restarted and got as far as episode 7 so it's very inconsistent.

This might be a job for Cleverget but paying twice because SF doesn't work is getting tiresome

How can your Netflix error be reconstructed?

And why don't >1% of all NF/SF users have the same problem??

Just as strange as the fact that I can't reconstruct >50% of all errors reported in the forum.

Then the problem is probably less with SF, but rather with the user of the program
or the connection to the respective provider.

I think I've been using SF a lot longer than you have so I'm well aware of how to use it.

Worked fine on Netflix the other day. Now it doesn't. Could be the VPN but not had issues with that before. Lost count of the number of times SF has shut itself down today. I guess its time for yet another uninstall
