StreamFab for Windows Sf clean install on windows

From time to time I do a clean install of SF following the instructions given here. I remove the Log & Temp folders and then use Revo Uninstaller to do an advanced uninstall of the software. I then install the new version. The strange thing is that when I start the new SF and I go to “Authorize,” SF already has my email stored. By logic, it shouldn't be there, right? This time an even stranger thing happened. I authorized the pc to use SF, and I opened Disney+: well, Disney+ took me directly to my profile, without asking for login because I was already logged in. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong in uninstalling and installing, but I really don't understand. Can anyone give me any explanation? Does this happen to others as well? Thanks!

Your account data is stored in %AppData%\DVDFab\StreamFab\StreamFab.ini

Otherwise it would be possible for SF to assign the mail address based on your MAC address

Never have this issue after remove/rename SF Temp (or cache - here)

I think you forgot to do one step -
Be sure to choose to remove StreamFab's current configuration when asked.

Got it. Thank you. However, I want to get one thing. By not deleting the files and folders you indicate, is my installation a clean installation for all intents and purposes? I usually delete and reinstall everything when I have some insurmountable problems, and often the problems are resolved. Not this time: I opted for the clean installation because for Disney+ StreamFab doesn't analyze any movies or tv series (NOTHING), so it's impossible to download. I did a clean installation for this reason, and the issue is the same as before. And I wrote here because first of all I would like to understand if what I do is a clean installation or not. Once I figure out if what I am doing is right, I will contact support for this issue I am having with Disney+.

P.S. I searched for "cacheOld" folder and I do not have it on my pc. Neither under "StreamFab" folder nor "DVDFab" folder.

Nono, I did it. StreamFab uninstall official stuff asks me for that and I did answer YES to remove the current configuration. I always do that everytime I make a clean installation of SF.

i believe they have your computers MAC address on file, so when you authorize your computer, it is verified for downloading.

It's "cacheOld" after my renaming ..
.. of course the original name is cache in SF Temp

I unfortunately have to say I tried the clean uninstall with Ashampoo, and it did not delete many of the temp folders, so there was much left over.
I try to remember when I used it before, at one time I think it did. Maybe something changed on my system or in Ashampoo, or maybe I did something wrong or missed something.
If it does not fully remove leftover files connected to streamfab, then it's not a clean uninstall.
I did a search on my computer with a great free Windows program Search Everything and searched for streamfab, and deleted all folders that came up.
A very fast and free search program once used you will never use Winblows search again.

I hope to try again soon with Ashampoo if not I may try and go back to BCUninstaller and see what happens.
What I don't do is do it every update, and streamfab runs good. I do it when streamfab seems to do one of many things, like crashes, gets slow or gets stuck analyzing.
It seems always downloading and using the full offline installer has a big effect on how streamfab works.

I am not sure if I ever liked Revo, as I hate programs that want me to pay (for a pro version), when free alternatives are available. Total Uninstaller I just looked and talks about paying but is reasonable($29.95) and 'lifetime'. There are many if people look, I even know for some time I used HiBit Uninstaller.

I have seen many having analyzing issues and many can be fixed by just deleting all contents of streamfabs temp folder. Yes, unfortunately, doing most of this you have to log back into the provider's that require log in to download. But if you want streamfab to work and work right, sometimes it has to be done. I have talked before, I was lucky to get access to at least 2 other programs that download/record from most providers. Even the main one of them told me I need to clear cache to get an issue fixed, I did not believe it till I tried and it worked. The best of all, it can be done from the program. YES, the program had an option to clear its own cache, no having to find to locate the folder and delete contents.

It just always crazy how some never or barely have an issue and then when some are posted it can not in any way be recreated. Yes, there are exceptions, Location is always a top issue. Using a VPN, no way streamfab can support that or be responsible if you use them and the program don't work properly. There is no one definitive answer, as to get streamfab working if you do have issues, as there are many. Even firewall and antivirus effects it. Network and more.

Streamfab works most times, as always the stream providers are making changes and some programs release intermediate patches or updates, streamfab seems to stick to mostly weekly.
Keeping streamfab up to date as well as your OS is a big part as well.
Plain and simple: just use streamfab for Windows offline installer, which is always available at
                https://www.dvdfab.cn/mlink/download.php?g=StreamFab_x64

Disclaimer: VPN use is NOT a StreamFab issue.

I use the free version of Revo Uninstaller and have had no problems with it so far.
NEVER use the update function within Streamfab. Always download the offline file!

Thanks, that is helpful to know. Maybe I let the fact that it wants an upgrade to Pro affect my judgment on it. (Right now, there is a sale on Pro for $12.47, from $24.95)

Well, what can the Pro version do what the free one can't?
