    Hulu Hulu Audio

For the last couple of days, I can only get audio on Hulu in ACC 2.0, not AC3 5.1.

FYI: it H264. I haven't been able to get H265 on Hulu for months (I hear it's due to having a combined Hulu/Disney+ account).

    Thanks.

    H265 is hit-and-miss with Hulu.

I ended up changing the default in streamfab setting to H264. Because if the movie in not available in H265 or streamfab don't find H265, streamfab will go into endless analyzing.

As for no eac3, I only tried a few movies and the result for one movie is in screenshot below, had the same success for 2 other movies.
There might be some content not offering EAC3, but it can't be confirmed without listing a few titles that are causing you issue.

Also, If still having issues, include a few titles and a steamfab.log.

      Perhaps this helps:

The audio options are mixed. For example, Family Guy, Before the changes by Hulu (I assume), I was able to download in HEVC and EAC3.
Now it's AVC and AAC. Some shows are unchanged like The Handmaid's Tale.

I know H265 is hit-or-miss on Hulu. I only mention it to be specific that I'm downloading H264.

I know the series has EAC3 5.1 ("Will Trent"), that's what I've been downloading it in. But the audio for the latest episode was corrupt. So, I went to re-download it, and now I can only get AAC stereo.

BTW, isn't there an option somewhere to show the log on the GUI? I thought I found it before, but now I can't. Maybe I'm just misremembering in my old age...

        Thanks for the help.

          Perhaps this helps:

I guess some of us are lucky, as I just checked Family Guy and it's available with EAC3.

And I also say it always helps if people would name a few titles, as there could easily be some content only in AAC.

I will keep checking, maybe once downloaded, you only get AAC and not EAC3. But as for the download pop-up, it shows EAC3.

ADDED: Just tried Will Trent, and yes last few episodes only come in AAC. Most episodes came in EAC3 when downloaded.

I wish the best, the Disney+ & Hulu w/ads package will be getting dumped by me within the next month.
Neither Hulu nor Disney+ works properly for me in StreamFab.

Yeah, it shows EAC3 (and that's what I was getting for each episode before yesterday), but now it's downloads AAC 2.0.

            Thanks.

Then check or attach your StreamFab.log

btw: I never had Hulu account since I'm SF user so I can't test/compare

Thanks, I will in a bit. I'm re-downloading a few older episodes to see what get now for those.

I re-downloaded from episode for season 1, and I'm still getting EAC 5.1.

I re-downloaded the previous episode from the current season (3), which I has downloaded in EAC 5.1. I can only get AAC 2.0 for that, now.

Enclosed is my log. Thanks for the help.

Don't know if this will help, but I forced analyze of just episode 16 as well as just episode 17 of Will Trent and only get offered AAC audio.
Analyze of just Episode 15 offered EAC3 and AAC

Well, at least I know it's not just me.

                      Thank you!

But then it's the missing offer - not an SF error

                        Code:
[Info]: [Analyze Dlg]: "Record add to queue -- Audio:{\"bandwidth\":258404,\"channel\":6,\"codecs\":\"ec-3\",\"descriptive\":false,\"languagecode\":\"en\",\"original\":false,\"trackSubType\":\"\",\"trackType\":\"\",\"trackid\":\"\"}"

                        [Info]: selected audio : QList("{\"bandwidth\":258404,\"channel\":6,\"codecs\":\"ec-3\",\"descriptive\":false,\"languagecode\":\"en\",\"original\":false,\"trackSubType\":\"\",\"trackType\":\"\",\"trackid\":\"\"}")

[Info]: audio info lang: en codecs: mp4a.40.2 bandwidth: 130576 channel: 2
and no error or warning between the lines !
so I can't say what the problem is - sorry about

Looks like only s01e01 was analyzed ..
. because I never used Hulu with SF I don't know is this still works:

I am extremely sorry and apologize for posting what should be considered an off-topic post, but some staff member has taken away my ability to post a new topic (along with a lot of other things, ie. Search, visiting other DVDFab forums, even adjusting my own profile). The only way I can post is to add to an existing topic (hopefully one that is semi-on-topic).
Previously, one of my options for downloading an ABC US TV show such as Will Trent (rather than pay for Hulu) was to download it from ABC.com with SF. By agreement with Comcast/Xfinity (and many other cable companies) you were able to link your cable membership in order to do a DRM MPD download. It worked every time except for the past week or so when it appears that this has changed. I don't absolutely know if it is SF or Disney, but in my opinion, it is clear that Disney doesn't know how to run a company. They need to go back to drawing mice and leave it at that.
