Prime Video Amazon ca freezes giving QtDownloadTask Temporary network failure code : 7

    v6.2.3.8 x64 on Win11
Downloading One Tree Hill from prime video Canada. As of last night I added the "add free" to my subscription incase that's relevant.
    no vpn.
speedtests of beyond 50 Mbps down.

I figured I would check here before submitting a ticket. Any ideas about this error and this behaviour?

Each episode starts downloading at around 6 Mbps, then after about 3 min the UI stops and freezes for over 6 min. At that point, the log shows this:

    Code:
    2025:05:25-23:57:24 0x000005bc [Critical]: QtDownloadTask::onError : errorString :Temporary network failure., code : 7,
    Code:
    2025:05:25-23:57:24 0x000005bc [Info]: onError, emit signalReplyFinished ,taskid : 19
    2025:05:25-23:57:24 0x0000734c [Info]: onError, emit signalReplyFinished ,taskid : 5
Then it starts up again and freezes again. It will do this up to 3 times.

The screen is frozen, the taskbar displays that Streamfab is Not Responding. Task Manager doesn't say this.

If I leave it and wait, it finally gets done. Takes about 25 minute to download a 45 min episode.

I could write now that the two episodes I tested at PV
in CA didn't cause any freeze issues, but systematically
isolating errors doesn't really make you popular here,
some users even seem to be confused by my “No problem detected” ..
.. It would be much cooler/popular to write here in forum that SF is buggy

Whatever, here my results (PV in CA via VPN - DSL 100 Mbps, no fiber)
    I selected maximum H265 + AAC

    s04e01 2,65 GB in 5:24 min
    Code:
2025:05:26-19:12:08 [Info]: [Amazon]" selected resolution: "{\"bandwidth\":9000000,\"codecs\":\"hev1.1.6.L120.90\"
2025:05:26-19:17:32 [Info]: [Download Check]: download result: "success"
    s05e13 2,64 GB in 5:26 min
    Code:
2025:05:26-19:20:44 [Info]: [Amazon]" selected resolution: "{\"bandwidth\":9000000,\"codecs\":\"hev1.1.6.L120.90\"
2025:05:26-19:26:10 [Info]: [Download Check]: download result: "success"
Looks like it hangs at 0% with <1MB/s but then jumped to 15%, 28% ..

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you are saying here.
Are you saying that I should not write this type of post here in the forum when I have an issue?

And thank you for doing the test. Assuming we are using the same version of streamfab on Win11, then at least I know that it isn't a universal issue with this particular version and Amazon Prime Video Canada. I'll try again using your settings (H265 with AAC) and if it still throws the error I'll keep digging.

I would still like to know what error code 7 is, to help me with further testing.

This is meant in general (I cannot refer to deleted posts)

It has nothing to do with you or your post !

        > Assuming we are using the same version of streamfab on Win11

For my test I used 6238 under Win10

        > I would still like to know what error code 7 is, to help me with further testing.

I'm afraid I've never seen it in my or anyone else's logs
