Crunchyroll different bitrate on download

I tried to download an episode of fire force and the bitrate was not the usual 8000kbps but different (less about 6000). I also tried other series but the same thing with the audio also gone from 128kb to 192kb. Is it a problem or a new implementation?

I was wondering the same thing! Looks like you can only download in H265 format... Is there any way to bring the H264 option back?

I remember reading on Reddit that Crunchyroll is changing their video quality to lower bitrate, maybe that's the reason?

Doesn’t look like so, I’ve seen other uploaders elsewhere who seem to be able to get even the newer releases in H.264 just fine… Someone please have a look into this.

I've no CR Premium account - so no max bit rate for me ..
.. and Fire Force.s01e01 comes in H264 to me (without a codec choice)

Thanks for your feedback, but I’m still stuck with the same issue. Only H.265, with no codec option. Can someone from the developers have a look at this? Who can I tag?
