    6.242 crashes

    Hard crashes. Not predictable. Thanks.

I can only say that today I also had two crashes of 6243
for a single episode (also from Netflix).
6242 then also crashed spontaneously and
6240 is currently running without problems.

You had 32 successful downloads before - I had none at all

Hmm, odd that it's doing it on 6242, but there may have been some change that from what you say carried over to 6243.

I haven't downloaded very much last few weeks, just not feeling well, and some movies and shows just don't interest me.

If I do download now or over the weekend, I will try to check what I still have access to, which is Amazon, Netflix, and Peacock.
TO see if it crashes as well.
For those having crashes, maybe try looking into Windows Event Viewer, it may show the crash and what might be conflicting.

And if I do have issues, I may try 6240 then as well

I wanted to add that I used to do programming for myself; I never did it for work. I was sloppy at times in updates and never 100% documented what was changed from one version to another. SO it could be something undocumented, as well as it just seems some crashing is being reported now, either more out-of-date software in streamfab, like the browser for example, or maybe changes to the stream provider's website.

There were some who seemed to have issues once they finally updated ffmpeg and other programs, not sure why, as long as SF used a stable version of ffmpeg.
mkvmerge, I can't say much about that, same with mp4box. I used to suspect there was a reason they stuck with what did work, although ffmpeg 6, versus 7.1, that needed to be updated. And I am sure many would say the same about the difference in versions of mkvmerge from 68 to 92.

Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.
Things need to be done with active moderatoration.

Disclaimer: Use of a VPN can NOT be fixed by StreamFab.

So for me, this only occurred with Netflix (with AV1) before remuxing,
according to the log, there are sometimes difficulties with the manifest.
All other providers have worked for me so far without a crash.
