StreamFab for Windows Random unexpected audio while sitting at main screen after 6.2.4.8 update

Today I noticed after starting the app that my PC was playing sound from some unknown tv show. I closed all browsers and apps and when I got to SF it stopped. Confirmed by starting and stopping it again.

Nothing on the screen to indicate it was playing or recording anything. All channel tabs closed, only the Home tab open. No messages at all.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I usually have the PC muted so it is remotely possible it wasn't this update but I think it was.

    Thank you.

HI, not seen this before. Granted I've only been using SF again since January. But using it weekly. I'd likely clear cache and temp folder, if it were me. Only thing I've seen similar was in old days I'd have Chrome re-open my last window due to an ongoing project, and if the reopened site had auto ads or auto video or whatever, I'd be greeted with "blahblah audio" on launching browser. Never again!

Do you download from Pluto? I've seen it start playing random shows just opening the site.

If I have it wasn't recently, and the tab definitely wasn't open this time in SF and all browsers closed during testing.

Which cache and temp folders are you referring to? I can give that a shot.

Thank you for any and all advice.

If you don't know where the SF temp is:

Look in SF Settings -> General -> "Temp Directory"

In this Directory is the subdirectory cache

Thanks, so you recommend clearing entire Temp or just Cache?

My recommendation is and always has been:

After that, you have to re-login with all providers ..
.. once everyone has successfully logged in, you can delete the renamed folder.
(If the login fails anywhere, you can undo the renaming)
