StreamFab for Windows Can't Download StreamFab On Windows

I'm running Parallels on a Mac computer with Windows 11. I had 6.2.4.7 running just fine and went to update to 6.2.5.0 recently. However, It acts like it's downloading just fine, says it's at 100% download, and then (as it proceeds to open StreamFab after downloading), it freezes and won't respond. I've waited it out for 30 minutes; nothing. I've uninstalled and tried reinstalling from scratch; nothing. I've tried downloading older versions of it; same situation. Not sure what's going on. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Are you using the offline installer? This may work better for you. I sometimes have issue with the default "online installer" app.

Not familiar with the "offline installer". Can you point me in the right direction?

The offline installer for the latest version of streamfab can always be downloaded at > https://www.dvdfab.cn/mlink/download...=StreamFab_x64

Although you say you tried installing older versions, so with them, you must have used an offline installer for those versions.

You may need to completely remove streamfab temp/cache folders as well, or maybe try a clean install here> https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/stream...ll-for-windows
Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.

I tried all of that... still no luck. So, apparently I was already using an "offline downloader". I just didn't recognize that as what it was called. I downloaded the version to the downloads folder to my computer; double clicked to install. I tried using a third-party software to do a full uninstall. It didn't seem to make a difference. I followed the suggestion in the forums you linked. No success. It "feels like" a firewall issue. It "feels like" it's installing fully, but then when it starts to open the program, there's a block somewhere that needs a "confirm open this app, because it's from the internet" or something like that. But I don't see any such box pop up. Just goes to black without opening.

I'm using the Mac version right now AS WELL. The real problem (and the reason I paid for BOTH versions, is that Windows comes out with updates weeks ahead of Mac. I prefer Mac, and mostly use Mac for all my daily stuff, minus a couple of random apps that aren't available for Apple. So I have Parallels app which is running Windows 11. At the moment of writing this, Netflix does not work at all on the StreamFab for Mac. Hence why I'm trying to get the Windows version of StreamFab to work. Until literally today, I haven't been able to use YouTube on Mac either. It's hit-or-miss a lot of times with the Mac version. So, I'm not sure what the actual issue is with the install. This is my second ever install on the Windows version on this computer (I've been using it for my laptop for the last several years). First version was problematic at first, but didn't act like this. Trying to update made it freeze. Removing it and doing a clean install has not helped at all. Just a worthless software (on Windows) for the moment until I can get it to boot up!

... And just like that, it is now working. So... here's the "solution" (that worked). When booting up from the install, it stayed on a black screen for no reason. Same when I did it from the update. I would have to "End the program because it's not responding". However, just for S&G (craps and giggles), I tried opening the app from the desktop shortcut. That opened it now. Go figure! Still don't know why that didn't work any other way/time, but it seems to be working for now. SMH.

Could have been a permissions issue. I always do clean install (clear my SF cache and temp folder, which I have on my Z drive); then use the offline installer and "install as admin." This seems to work with Win11PRO very well. I have almost zero hassles except for the weird transient things that come and go.
