StreamFab for Windows Program auto start-up setting not being respected

The option to auto start the program is set to NO (it is left unchecked), and yet the program ends up in my task bar on every reboot.
I've checked my startup folder to make sure it wasn't in there, and it wasn't.
My taskbar settings are set to not display the icon (but of course that only applies to programs that are not running).

I first noticed this issue about 4-5 versions ago. I'm currently using x64 v6.2.5.0

Mine does not do this with .50 or .51 on Win11 Pro/X64.
did you try the obvious (sorry)
    a) clear cache/temp folder, log back in and check settings, quit; reboot.
    b) before doing that, run SFC/ scannow from terminal (as admin); which can fix wonky stuff like this.

I ran offline installer as admin to install .51 btw.

I have disabled SF Autostart in Task Manager ..
.. so I can't say whether there are any differences.
But I would try enabling and disabling it after restarting SF

when you check the "auto start upon system startup" , be sure to click the orange OK button for it to take effect.
it should not startup on your next reboot.

I'll try this first, as it is the simplest solution ;-)

There are several places where applications can be executed on startup, not just your startup folder. The usual suspects are in the Registry are:

            HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
            HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run

If it's not in either of those, I would download the Autoruns Sysinternals tool from Micrsoft's website. It will give you a detailed list of everything that is executed at startup and an option do disable them.
