    StreamFab for Windows Download Amazon content via AV1?

    Will it be possible to download Amazon content via AV1 codec in the near future?​

    AFAIK, less than 3% of Amazon titles are offered in AV1

      Its a free codec. I can see it happening in the future, and I dont think we will wait too long. Its compression is as good as H.265, and it offers better quality at lower bitrates.

        Just because it's free doesn't mean it's gonna get used, even google doesn't offer av1 on all of its youtube videos... besides, the hardware uptake is very slow, and chances are, most a waiting for h.266 to be finalised

            Then they lower the bitrate, but the quality remains the same. Another cost-saving effect.
            NEVER use the update function within Streamfab. Always download the offline file!
