Peacock Audio is limited to AAC 2.0

After analyzing Peacock titles, the only audio selection is AAC 2.0. This problem was resolved in previous versions of streamfab, but it crept back in again.

Tested 4 random movie titles with same results:
    Terrifier 3
    Screamboat
    October Sky
    Almost Famous

StreamFab Version 6.2.5.5, Platform Win x64, OS Windows 11 Pro
    Region/Country: USA

Note - in my recent tests with Peacock, if gave me no options for five movies I downloaded for audio, but then inspecting the actual downloads with Mediainfo app they were in fact surround, if the movie was actually available in something other than stereo.

Might not be how it sorts out with your setup, or the on/off wonkiness with Peacock in general -- but the last five movies I downloaded from them did actually download in 5.1. (USA, no VPN, no-ads account; current version SF. Possibly last version, actually.)

I still have 6254 not updated yet to 6255, all show both audios except Terrifier 3, only AAC
So could be an issue with 6255.

Peacock in 6254 for me has a few issues analyzing. I may look into clearing the SF cache.
I may wait till tomorrow to update to 6255.

ADDED: I not only cleared my cache but also updated to 6255, and only tested October Sky, but it shows both audios.
Although analyzing for me still seems to drag on, with several attempts at some movies.

Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.
Things need to be done with active moderatoration.

As shown in Stan001's there is a option to select EAC3.

My SF defaults to having AAC selected in Peacock, which I didn't notice the option at first and thought SF had been limited to AAC. Once I selected EAC3 files downloaded fine. Not sure if you possibly had a similar experience. Also not sure why SF isn't defaulting to the higher quality audio option.

*Sorry didn't realized I was on the second page of posts in the forum, so this may have been resolved already

I am having this issue with Peacock. Shows I'm trying to download only have "English AAC 2.0 - 131 kbps" available. Doesn't seem to matter which season or episodes I pick. Happening with v6.2.5.7 and 6.2.5.1.

tbar change the language to eac3, they only offer 2.0 in AAC. Your download window looks older than 6257.
Stan001's screencap is what it should look like. Clicking eac3 will offer 5.1.

Already tried that. There is no other option. I also tried removing and installing SF but same issue.Click image for larger version Name:	Screenshot 2025-10-04 103850.png Views:	0 Size:	103.1 KB ID:	469063

I noticed on the two forever long running Law & Order shows would not detect EAC. Probably due to the first episodes only being in AAC.

It used to work a week or two ago. I have the same issue on other Peacock shows as well.

If this is all about EAC3, then you need to follow the instructions here to get AAC & EAC3.

I did just check, and an initial analyze of Law & Order gives only AAC, but then I canceled, went back to the show, and clicked Season 20, Episode 1, let it play, analyze, and got both choices of EAC3 and ACC.
Also, doing this it seems to take longer to analyze, and sometimes it just goes back to the home screen, and you need to try again.

No, users should NOT need to do this, but don't see SF fixing it anytime soon.

If still an issue, just accept AAC unless you have a massive stereo system hooked up to your TV, you barely can tell the différance between EAC3 and AAC, my TV has little cheap built-in speakers.

I do actually have a massive audio system on my living room tv.. But for shows like L&W, it doesn't make much difference

This seems to have worked. Thanks! It looks like the issues is only with shows. Movies allow for EAC3 or AAC. (I do have a full surround system on my TV so I always want the best possible audio.)

Thus my gripe of being unable to force analyze in 6251, which we can now do again in 6257.

Click the series, program analyzes the series.
Download window pops up. If it is a newer show, it always defaults to the latest season, episode 1. Otherwise, s01e01 on other shows.
                          Click cancel.
Click the series, click the season you want, click the episode you want. Program analyze dialog pops up as the episode begins to play. You have to wait for the ads to complete before anything else happens. 6250 did not wait for the ads, it gave you instant access.
Download window with the episode selected pops up.
DON'T FORGET to select eac3 audio if that's what you want. Default is AAC 2.0 even if the show does eac3 5.1. 6250 defaulted to eac3.
                          Click download.
It will take approx 30 seconds before download begins, which is approximately the length of the pre-show ads. 6250 download begins immediately, no 30 second delay.
