Roku Because of the issues with Amazon has anyone tried Roku Channel?

I get info via email every now and again, new stream providers available for a price via the Roku Channel.

Has anyone used them there? Could it become a possible solution or even replacement for Amazon?
Now, no, you would not have access to the Amazon libraries.

I know Roku offers the main ones: Paramount+, HBO MAX, MGM+, Starz, and many more.

I had bad experiences with Roku Channel, it seems most times very slow downing with their own content.
So then makes me wonder how good the speed would be with the other providers.

Would you get the same selections of 1080p and h264, h265, audio and CC or srt?

I would love to see an alternative for people to screw Amazon. Is there some other service that also makes other additional providers available that streamfab supports?

I did just think of one possibility: Roku Channel may not be available in as many locations as Amazon is.

Just throwing out an idea and would like to see what people feel about it and their Pros and Cons.
Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.

When Amazon was down in 2024 because of the DRM issues, i subbed to HBO Max and Starz on Hulu. That module is way more mature than the Roku one and i was able to get everything in 1080p H265 with 5.1 Audio and Subtitles

When it works it's fine, but I only use it if it's something that's only available on The Roku Channel, since their downloads tend to have lower bit rates. That's why a lot of people prefer Amazon; they have high bit rate h264 and ac3 for many titles.

I have downloaded from the Roku Channel. It does download in 1080p but I can only get stereo audio. No 5.1 surround.

I guess I should have done more research on Hulu when I had a 4-month trial. You can't even browse anything on Hulu unless you pay for at least a month's access.
Is there more than just HBO Max and Starz?
I had a feeling the Roku Channel would not be a great supplement or replacement. But I needed to ask what others know or have experienced.

              CINEMAX®

              Paramount+ with SHOWTIME

The other way to do it, is to select whatever you provider you want on justwatch, click a title and see if that title is available on hulu+ bundle un the watch now > stream table... but I think what you've listed is pretty much it, unless you go for the 80 bucks a month package (but I've not looked into that in ages)

When the Weird Al movie was new, I recall getting it just fine with 5.1 audio. Have not tried that channel lately but it is a valid point.
It was mentioned that their bitrates are low. Well, shows on Paramount+ look like ass too due to the low bitrates. I don't remember having poor quality video on Roku Channel.

Now that the Hulu module doesn't do h265 or 4K, it has a little bit lesser value to it.
