Changes made on YouTube are causing this.
Asked and answered here > https://forum.dvdfab.cn/forum/stream...nloading-again
Whether it gets fixed in SF on Thursday is yet another question.
Look for other free YT downloaders like Jdownloader2, etc...Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.
Things need to be done with active moderatoration.

JD 2 isn't grabbing the video links either - just the image and audio, and srt links. Yt-dlp worked for me for a few videos last night, but it's not working now either.
The only other option is to try the nightly from yt-dlp, but I don't think it's going to be an easy or fast fix.
I also went by this post and assumed the updated yt-dlp worked.
And reading this posted by october262 doesn't make it look good either.
ADDED: from jdownloader2 'We are aware of the new rolled out changes by YT and are looking into it.'
ADDED#2: There are YT downloaders, some are claiming to work, but all require payment. Video Downloader Ultimate, antdownloadmanager, and
4K Video Downloader+. Take the risk yourself, if you want.

This was fixed, but is broken again - my guess is YT rolled out changes again.
Yesterday with 6.2.5.5 I was getting either endless analysis or eventual "format not supported" or what ever that message.
Updated to 6.2.5.6 around 3 hours ago, was able to pull down like 3 or 4 of the ones that had been stalled, but when I went to add new ones, now just sits at the analyzing and moving bar.

Your dl request works fine and is here

DL this and try
Code:yt-dlp --list-formats https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d92pFSFnBA
Alternate open cmd (or Terminal) go to your SF Subdir YouTubeDL and use
Code:YoutubeToMP3Process -F https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8d92pFSFnBA
-= Open link in new tab for larger Screenshot =-
With removing -F (short for --list-formats) the maximum (1080p) is downloaded
(require by default admin right in this dir)

Get the same error: requested format is not available. Use --list-formats for a list of available formats.
So I went to JDownloader2, and it went fine in full 1080p, as I stated here.
In that post, I suggested the member to log out of YouTube in streamfab as there were times when logging out worked via being logged in.
I am also logged into YT in streamfab, just don't feel up to logging out to see if it works when I know I can fall back to JD2.
Also, I am not logged in nor use cookies or anything via JD2 for YT.
ADDED: I did log out of YT in streamfab, and the video works.
I may try logging in again to see what happens.
Ok, logged back into YT via streamfab and same error trying to download.
Requested format is not available. Use --list-formats for a list of available formats
So, YES, try logging out of YT via streamfab.Last edited by Stan001; 09-26-2025, 01:05 PM.Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.

I can also download, just need to be logged out of YT. I like to be logged into YT.
If logged in to YT, it gives me the error: Requested format is not available. Use --list-formats for a list of available formats.
Logged out of YT, no errors or issues, and downloads fine.
I still like keeping JD2 as it's a good fallback when SF has issues. JD2 I don't log in or use cookies for YT.
I also tried the latest version of yt-dlp and had no issues, but again, it is not logged into YT, and I used no cookies.
OP has the initial problem; I was just showing they are not the only ones affected. In general, it's not an SF-specific issue.
It's YT playing games.
I also stated it is more likely a random issue as YT is continuing to roll out changes.
Let's hope YT stops someday soon, as JD2 is still recording other issues and waiting to add another fix or fixes to their program.
And it seems the same for yt-dlp.Things can't be fully accomplished without proper access.

Downloaded a 5-part show from YT today and received the --list-formats error on each one several times. But eventually after repeated Retry-Retry-Retry, they did download. I wasn't logged in to YT.
It's a little aggravating, but the episode was important enough to overlook it.
It'll get fixed.
