Hi, I'm interested in backing up a few UHD movies that I have using UHD Copy but have a question before making this purchase. it says in the description that UHD Copy can "clone the entire disc of an unprotected 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray". What does 'unprotected' mean? does it mean copy protection already removed, or I can stick in my original UHD and it will back it up/clone it. I currently own blu-ray copy so I'm familiar w/ the backup process. thanks!

Hi, unprotected means that you have an already Decrypted Disc either in an Iso or folder format. There where some leaked keys for UHD Movies a while back so it all depends on which movies you have for DVD Fab to be able to utilise. There is a post on the forum about this. The only software at the moment that has a larger and up to date list for decryption is Make MKV. I cannot link to the specific page as I am sure it will break the rules but check with Google. I hope this helps you.

yesterday I saw an email saying that the leaked keys are not needed anymore on the new version of uhd copy. can someone confirm this?

sorry, didn't see your reply earlier. so you're saying that uhd copy is not like bluray copy where we just stick in a bluray disk and click a button? uhd copy needs these leaked keys to do the copy?
